Kutateladze will not compete against Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady at UFC Abu Dhabi on Aug. 3, according to Farah Hannoun and Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com.

August fight booked
LightweightUFC
June 4, 2024
Kutateladze will take on Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady in a lightweight matchup at UFC Abu Dhabi on August 3, Farah Hannoun of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kutateladze fights infrequently and will have been on the sidelines for a year between fights again here, which could work against him in his attempt to snap a two-fight losing streak. Al-Selwady is also coming off a loss -- a third-round knockout at the hands of Loik Radzhaov in March. Kutateladze will enter this matchup with three-inch height and reach advantages.
Falls as monumental favorite
LightweightUFC
July 1, 2023
Kutateladze lost to Elves Brener via TKO (punches) at 3:17 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
What a disaster. Stepping in for Jordan Leavitt on a few weeks' notice and entering as an overwhelming -700 favorite, Kutateladze was getting the better of a wild back-and-forth brawl and won each of the first two rounds on all three judges scorecards, but he never appeared to be fully comfortable during the bout. There's zero question Guram had a significant power edge. He probably would have finished Brener late in Round 2 if there had been just a handful of more seconds on the clock, but one short shot from Brener early in the final frame forced Kutateladze to the mat, forcing referee Chris Tognoni to step in. It was likely the combination of a damaging blow and Kutateladze being totally exhausted which resulted in the finish. Guram being rising lightweight star Mateusz Gamrot in his company debut back in October 2020, but he's gone on to lose two in a row since.
Steps in to fight Brener
LightweightUFC
June 16, 2023
Kutateladze will take on Elves Brener in a lightweight bout at UFC Vegas 76 on July 1, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Kutateladze will step in for Jordan Leavitt, who withdrew from the fight. Now, he'll take on Brener, who is coming off a win in his UFC debut. Kutateladze has had a tough stretch of canceled bouts, one of the reasons why he has not won a fight since 2020. He will look to move to 2-1 in UFC competition against Brener.
Visa issues forced withdrawal
LightweightUFC
May 31, 2023
Kutateladze disclosed in a social media post that it was not an injury, but rather visa issues, that forced his withdrawal from UFC Vegas 74 on Saturday, Farah Hannoun of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Originally set to face Jamie Mullarkey and enter as a (-350) betting favorite, one of the largest on the card, Kutateladze was forced to pull out just days before the fight. He asserts that he's fully healthy and that a new fight is currently in the works. In the meantime, Mullarkey will go on to face newcomer Muhammadjon Naimov this weekend.
