Alekseeva defeated Stephanie Egger via submission (kneebar) at 2:11 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Alekseeva was quite proud of her performance afterwards, which would have been perfectly fine had she not missed weight by a whopping four pounds Friday morning. Egger still agreed to fight, although Irina had to forfeit 30 percent of her purse to make it happen. Once the two women entered the Octagon, Alekseeva skillfully snatched Egger's leg before rolling to the mat for the kneebar which closed the show. It was the fourth kneebar submission in UFC women's history.
