ANALYSIS
The American light heavyweight will get his second UFC match after losing to Alonzo Menifield via split decision in his big debut. Hangs tough in debut loss
Walker lost to Alonzo Menifield via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.
ANALYSIS
By the numbers, this was the most even fight you will ever see. Walker closed with a 114-113 edge in total strikes landed, while Menifield led 87-86 in those deemed "significant." Walker, making his UFC debut, attempted to get his ground game going, but was only able to land 1-of-9 takedown attempts. His 5:31 worth of control time was primarily pinning Menifield along the cage. Walker looked inexperienced, as to be expected from a guy in his seventh professional fight. His gas tank was also poor. The good news is that these are all correctable issues. There's most certainly the foundation of a solid fighter here. There were some immediate dividends, as both combatants were awarded $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus after the show.

UFC debut scheduled
Walker will take on Alonzo Menifield in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Seattle on Feb. 22, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Walker is a perfect 6-0 in his pro MMA career, but will now make his UFC debut against a highly experienced fighter in Menifield, who boasts an 8-5-1 UFC record. The latter will certainly be desperate for a win, coming off two straight losses. Walker, however, has four inches of height and five inches of reach on his opponent.
