Will face Gerald Meerschaert
Walker will take on Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Vegas 122 on Oct. 10, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Walker is looking to shake off his disappointing loss at UFC Baku in June this year, when he lasted just eight seconds against Abdulrakhman Yakhyaev. He owns a 1-3 record at the UFC level, but his performances have been pretty poor across the board, so it wouldn't be shocking if he's considered an underdog once again.

Lasts 8 seconds in Baku
Walker lost to Abdulrakhman Yakhyaev via KO (punch) at 0:08 of Round at UFC Baku on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Walker entered the night as the biggest betting underdog on the card and ended up looking the part. The first punch his opponent threw was a right hook that found its home, and Walker was getting saved by the ref before landing even a single strike. He'll be on the wrong side of history as one of the top-10 fastest finishes, as well as on the highlight reel of the rising Yaykhyaev for years to come.

Yakhyaev up next
Walker is scheduled to fight fellow light heavyweight Abdulrakhman Yakhyaev at UFC Baku on June 27, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
After losing to Alonzo Menifield via split decision, outlasting Rafael Cerqueira and suffering a knockout to Dustin Jacoby, Walker aims to go 2-2. Walker's opponent does impose a threatening challenge though, as his 2-0 UFC record and back-to-back submissions indicate.

Finished after fast start
Walker lost to Dustin Jacoby via TKO (punches) at 1:42 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Walker isn't in position to settle for moral victories at this point of his career, but there were a couple positives this evening despite the setback. Hopelessly outclassed by Jacoby on the feet, Walker displayed high fight IQ in recognizing that and attempting to go to his wrestling game instead. The plan actually worked for a good portion of Round 1, as Julius landed 3-of-6 takedowns in winning the framing on all three scorecards. Unfortunately, he absorbed a couple huge shots early in Round 2 and was never able to recover despite being given an ample amount of time by referee Chris Tognoni. Walker joined the UFC last February with just six professional fighters under his belt. He's more of a pure athlete than mixed martial artist at this point, as his 1-2 record with the company shows.

Gets new opponent
Walker will now fight Dustin Jacoby at UFC Vegas 113 on Feb. 7, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old light heavyweight was originally slated to fight Uran Satybaldiev in February, but the latter was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Walker will instead fight an opponent who has won back-to-back bouts but has a reach two inches shorter than Walker's.

Satybaldiev up next
Walker will fight Uran Satybaldiev at UFC Vegas 113 on Feb. 7, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Walker picked up a win in August after dropping his UFC debut in February, and he'll now receive an opponent who has had an identical start to his own UFC career. Walker will be at a slight size disadvantage, however, giving up one inch of reach to Satybaldiev.
