No-shows Edmonton defeat
Barriault lost to Dustin Stoltzfus via KO (punches) at 4:28 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Edmonton.
ANALYSIS
Getting finished in 85 seconds by Joe Pyfer is one thing. Getting slept by Stoltzfus in Round 1 as a -240 favorite in your home country is another thing entirely. Barriault was on the defensive the entire fight. He had a leg kicked out from under him moments after the opening bell rang and found himself defending on the mat most of the frame. He eventually worked his way back to his feet and began swinging for the bleachers, only to get cracked, dropped, and finished in an instant. A one-dimensional brawler, Barriault has zero chance if his durability doesn't hold up. With three straight defeats on his ledger, Barriault's next fight may come with another promotion.

Next fight scheduled
Barriault is set to face Dustin Stoltzfus in a middleweight matchup at UFC Edmonton on November 2, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Barriault is looking to bounce back from his previous bout after losing via KO after 85 seconds in the first round against Joe Pyfer. The 34-year-old Canadian had been a durable fighter throughout most of his career but has not lost back-to-back contests. He will face Dustin Stoltzfus, who is also coming off an injury.

Lasts 85 seconds at UFC 303
Barriault lost to Joe Pyfer via KO (punch) at 1:25 of Round 1 at UFC 303 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Outside of one stinker against Chidi Njokuani a couple years ago, Barriault is known as a durable brawler that is difficult to finish. Not on this evening. Barriault appeared out of sorts from the very start and was quickly pinned up along the fence and finished by the powerful Pyfer. The 34-year-old Canadian had been on a decent run after losing his first three fights with the UFC, but has now dropped back-to-back appearances. Barriault needs to find a victory any way he can get it his next time out.

Next bout scheduled
Barriault will face off against Joe Pyfer at UFC 303 on June 29, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Barriault will make his return to the ring in June following his most recent defeat at the hands of Chris Curtis in January. The 34-year-old Candian fighter, who is 5-6-1 during his UFC career, will look to get back on track against Joe Pyfer.

Hangs tough in UFC 297 defeat
Barriault lost to Chris Curtis via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 27-30) at UFC 297 on Saturday in Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Outside of the final few minutes, it was a fairly pedestrian, close fight. Barriault managed to match Curtis punch-for-punch, but Chris pulled away a bit in the latter stages of the bout. The expected power edge Marc-Andre was believed to possess never really materialized. That's the bad news. The good news is that Curtis was by far the best opponent Barriault has seen to date, and he more than held his own. Winless in his first four UFC bouts (0-3, 1NC), "Power Bar" is 5-3 in his past eight fights even with the setback here. His roster spot is plenty secure.
