Remains undefeated as pro
Parkin defeated Caio Machado via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Parkin looked great in his UFC debut, a unanimous decision win over Jamal Pogues in July. He was considerably less effective here and was fortunate two of the judges, let alone all three, though he won. Parkin struggled in prolonged striking exchanges between the two men, and his cardio was questionable, at best, but he did land three takedowns for 6:17 worth of control time in the first two rounds alone, helping push him across the finish line. Parkin is 28 years of age and has just eight pro fights under his belt, so he needs to try to get back in the Octagon as soon as possible to gain further experience.

Parkin defeated Jamal Pogues during his UFC debut in July, and he will look to stay perfect when he faces off against Caio Machado in November. The 27-year-old English fighter is currently undefeated (7-0) in his professional career.

Upset win in UFC debut
Parkin defeated Jamal Pogues via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
In a battle of two Dana White Contender Series alums, Parkin cruised to victory as a +130 underdog. It was widely believed Parkin would be forced to defend repeated takedown attempts, but Pogues tried just one (unsuccessfully). That allowed Parkin to open up on the feet, confidently mixing things up between the head, body and legs. It will be interesting to see how Parkin performs against a bit better opponent in a fight that doesn't take place in his home country, but this was about as strong of a start as he could have asked for.

Homecoming debut scheduled
Parkin will fight Jamal Pogues in a heavyweight bout at UFC London on July 22, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Currently, Parkin is expected to be one of several English fighters fighting in their home country at UFC London. This could be extra special for him, as he is expected to log his debut there. Parkin will enter the fight 6-0, with each of his wins recorded via finish. In contrast, Pogues is 10-3 with both half his wins and zero losses logged via decision.
