Dominate as massive favorite
Elliott lost to Seok Hyun Ko via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Baku, Azerbaijan.
ANALYSIS
Elliott entering as a -500 favorite is certainly going to be in the running for worst line of the year when all it is said and done. He gave up six takedowns and 10:15 worth of control time to Ko, an opponent known for his striking as opposed to his grappling game. Elliott landed just 10 significant strikes in 15 minutes and failed on both of his takedown attempts. It was a truly abysmal performance from start to finish. Oban had built up some good will after winning each of his first three UFC bouts, but much of that is gone following this effort.

New opponent and date
Elliott is scheduled to compete against Seok Hyun Ko in a welterweight fight at UFC Baku on June 21, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
At UFC Vegas 107, Elliott and Ko were scheduled to fight Ramiz Brahimaj and Billy Goff respectively. However, both members of the former duo had to withdraw. It seems they are good to go a month down the line, as the UFC ultimately decided to pencil both Elliott and Ko against each other for Azerbaijan. Elliott's new opponent is a promotion newcomer.

ANALYSIS
Elliott defeated Bassil Hafez via KO (punches) at 0:40 of Round 3 at UFC 309 on Nov. 16, 2024, and he remains perfect at the UFC level. He's won four fights in a row across all levels, including his three with the promotion, and at 26 years old, he's clearly on the rise.

Remains perfect in UFC
Elliott defeated Bassil Hafez via KO (punches) at 0:40 of Round 3 at UFC 309 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Elliott was in firm control of this fight from start to finish. Of course, you wouldn't know that from the judging. He was down two rounds on one scorecard after the second frame and the other judge had it a round apiece. Thankfully, Oban took matters into his own hands after crushing Hafez with a right hand early in Round 3, which ended the bout in an instant and would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Still just 26 years of age, "The Welsh Gangster" has now won each of his first three bouts with the UFC, in addition to having picked up a win on Dana White's Contender Series.

Shines in decision victory
Elliott defeated Preston Parsons via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 304 on Saturday in Manchester, England.
ANALYSIS
This was a far more impressive performance from Elliott than his unanimous decision win over Val Woodburn in his company debut this past February. Oban completely shut down the wrestling game of Parsons, which is no small feat in itself. He appeared comfortable in all phases of the fight, landing just enough offense while defending at an elite level. Still just 26 years of age, Elliott has had all sorts of success on the European regional scene and is now a perfect 2-0 with the UFC. He's a fighter to keep an eye on at 170 pounds.
