WelterweightUFC
February 3, 2024
Gorimbo defeated Pete Rodriguez via TKO (punches) at 0:32 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
You would never know it by this result, but Gorimbo entered the night with exactly one knockout victory in his professional career. 32 seconds later, he had his second. Themba stepped into a massive right hand that dropped Rodriguez on the spot. He added a few follow-up strikes for good measure before referee Herb Dean could step in, but it was clearly over the second the first blow connected. The 33-year-old Gorimbo has now won two straight on the heels of a submission loss to AJ Fletcher in his UFC debut last February.

Secures first UFC victory
WelterweightUFC
May 20, 2023
Gorimbo defeated Takashi Sato via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was an excellent bounce-back effort from Gorimbo on the heels of a submission loss to AJ Fletcher in his company debut this past February. He controlled the pace of the bout against an overwhelmed Sato from start to finish, connecting on three takedowns while racking up a ton (11:15) of control time. Gorimbo is already 32 years of age and has no history of competing against, let alone defeating, quality competition, but he represents solid depth at welterweight for a company which holds an event nearly every week.
