Santos will take on Miesha Tate in a bantamweight bout at a UFC event in Des Moines, Iowa on May 3rd, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Santos picked up her first win since 2021 back in August, disposing of Chelsea Chandler via unanimous decision. That victory snapped a three-fight losing streak, and she'll now look to make it two straight wins and push her UFC record to 6-5 with a win over Tate. Tate is also coming off a win after three straight losses, so both fighters will be desperate to stack victories and stay on the winning side of the Octagon.

Santos defeated Chelsea Chandler via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a massive result for Santos on multiple fronts. For starters, and most importantly, she snapped a three-fight losing streak dating back to July 2021 and will extend her time with the UFC as a result. As an added bonus, Santos will walk away with 25 percent of Chandler's purse after the latter missed weight by a ridiculous five pounds Friday morning. Yana didn't do anything exceptional in this fight, but she did manage to connect on 69 percent of her significant strikes (94-135) in addition to landing a Round 2 knockdown. That was more than enough given the fact Chandler did next to nothing. Santos will be 35 years of age in November, so it's imperative she try to get back in the Octagon as soon as possible.

Santos lost to Karol Rosa via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a crushing result for Santos considering she easily won Round 1 and appeared to be in firm control most of Round 2. Yana had an overwhelming strength advantage, easily pinning Rosa to the cage whenever the two women engaged in the clinch, but she struggled mightily at distance and it only got worse as the fight progressed. There's zero question Rosa landed the more damaging blows and that appears to be what judges value these days. Set to turn 34 years of age this coming November and the loser of three fights in a row, the odds are against Santos earning another shot with the company.
