FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There are six games on the main slate beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST, following two afternoon games that begin at 3:00 p.m. On the main schedule, the Rockets at the Pacers, 76ers at Bulls, Magic at Raptors and Wizards at Pelicans all look like potentially high-scoring games. The Warriors at Trail Blazers should be a shootout as well, but in their last 10 matchups the Warriors have tended to blow them out, so there is some concern about limited minutes for some stars. The Mavericks at the Spurs pits two strong defenses against each other, though it's also a rivalry game.

James Harden, HOU at IND ($12,500): Harden has scored more than 50 fantasy points in six of the last seven games, including a whopping 87.1 from a 51-point, 13-rebound, 13-assist triple-double in his last outing. Next up is a Pacers squad that has allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to shooting guards this season.

Jeff Teague, IND vs. HOU ($7,900): Teague is averaging 16.0 points, nine assists, six boards and 1.4 combined steals and blocks per game over his last seven, and he'll now face a Rockets defense that has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to guards over the last 10 games.

Rajon Rondo, CHI vs. PHI ($3,800): Rondo is a very risky play, but he has upside. After falling out of the rotation, he returned last game to score 13 points with seven boards, seven assists and three steals in 32 minutes off the bench. Michael Carter-Williams has been benched, and Jerian Grant is not very formidable as the starter. Rondo speaking out against his teammates in their leadership debate may also have gained him some strange momentum. Either way, he's a punt play who could give you big production if he gets starter-level minutes again.

Paul George, IND vs. HOU ($8,300): George has gone on a nice little run this week, averaging 32.0 points, 5.0 boards, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game over his last three, with more than 30 points in every game, and he'll now face a Rockets defense that has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to small forwards over the last 10 games.

Markieff Morris, WAS at NO ($6,900): Morris averaged 17.4 points, 9.2 boards, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game over his last 11, and he now faces a Pelicans defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to power forwards this season.

Nerlens Noel, PHI at CHI ($4,700): Noel looks to be in line for big minutes Sunday in place of Joel Embiid (rest). In the last two games that Embiid sat, Noel averaged 17.5 points, 10.5 boards, 2.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. The main question is whether the returned Jahlil Okafor will eat into his minutes; otherwise, Noel looks like strong value.

Mason Plumlee, POR vs. GS ($7,000): Plumlee is working off four straight double-doubles, a stretch in which he has averaged 14.0 points, 11.3 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game, and he now matches up against a Warriors defense that has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to centers over the last 10 games.

Marcin Gortat, WAS at NO ($6,400): Gortat has averaged 12.6 points, 9.4 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game over his last five and will now play agains a Pelicans defense that has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to centers this season.

Clint Capela, HOU at IND ($5,000): Capela seems to have found his level of late, scoring in double digits in four of his last five games to average 14.4 points, 6.4 boards and 1.6 combined steals/blocks in 20 minutes per outing over that span.
