FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday brings only three games in the NBA, leaving you with limited options for your FanDuel entry. However, there is still plenty of value to be had for the night, so let's take a look at some options you should consider when crafting your lineup.

Guards

Kyle Lowry, TOR vs. PHO ($8,500): Lowry struggled to shoot only 4-of-11 from the field in his last game Friday against the Indiana Pacers, but he salvaged the game by grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out eight assists. He had scored at least 38.6 FanDuel in four straight games and his ability to contribute with rebounds and assists gives him a pretty high floor. The Suns allow the most FanDuel points per game (52.4) to opposing point guards, making Lowry a strong option Tuesday.

Devin Booker, PHO at TOR ($7,100): Booker scored 38 points Saturday against a tough Boston Celtics defense, but then topped that with 46 points Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He took 61 total shots in those two games, but don't be surprised about that volume as he has a 29.7% usage rate. The Suns play at the second-fastest pace (105.3) in the league, making another high-scoring performance a strong possibility against the Raptors.

Alec Burks, UTA at OKC ($4,800): Burks has received a tremendous boost in value with Rodney Hood (ankle) out of action, scoring at least 38.1 FanDuel points in three straight games. While his scoring has been stellar with at least 24 points in all three contests, he also managed to chip in five total steals over that stretch. Hood's status is uncertain for Tuesday but if he sits again, Burks is a great value play.

Forwards

Paul George, OKC vs. UTA ($8,600): George hasn't been a consistent option of late because even though he scored at least 22 points in two of his last four games, he only scored a total of 10 points in the other two contests. With the Thunder struggling, Russell Westbrook has reverted back to his massive usage ways, leaving George to see a reduction in value. That being said, George is still one of the main options on a team with very little depth, so he can go off on any given night. Considering the lack of elite options Tuesday, George is someone you should still consider based on his upside.

T.J. Warren, PHO at TOR ($6,800): Warren is clearly the second-best offensive player on the Suns and is averaging a career-high 18.7 points per game, as a result. Warren also benefits from the Suns up tempo style of play and has taken at least 19 shots in three of his last four games. Warren and Booker will have to be on top of their games if the Suns are going to stay competitive against the Raptors, so look for Warren to get plenty of opportunities to produce again Tuesday.

Al-Farouq Aminu, POR vs. WAS ($4,600): Aminu missed almost the entire month of November with an ankle injury, but has played in each of the team's last two games. He was on a minute's restriction, playing no more than 26 minutes in both contests. He has been cleared to play at least 30 minutes Tuesday, which is great news for his value. He has played at least 30 minutes in a game four times this season, finishing with at least 39.2 FanDuel points in two of them. If you need to save money at power forward, Aminu might be worth the risk at this price.

Centers

Jusuf Nurkic, POR vs. WAS ($7,400): Nurkic was awful Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans when he only scored 13.3 FanDuel points. It was a tough matchup against DeMarcus Cousins, so don't read too much into his struggles. Nurkic had scored at least 28.7 FanDuel in five straight games, one of which was when he scored 37 FanDuel points against the Wizards. With an easier matchup on tap, look for Nurkic to get back to his productive ways Tuesday.

Steven Adams, OKC vs. UTA ($6,900): Adams continues to lead an extremely thin Thunder front court and is averaging career-highs almost across the board as a result. The trio of Westbrook, George and Carmelo Anthony eat up a lot of shots, but Adams has still been able to score in large part due to his 4.3 offensive rebounds per game. Based on his role with the team, Adams provides a safe bet for your lineup on most nights as he is averaging 30.1 FanDuel points per game this season.

Jonas Valanciunas, TOR vs. PHO ($4,900): Playing time is key for all players, but it's especially important for Valanciunas. While he is only averaging 20.9 FanDuel points per game this season, he has averaged 28.8 FanDuel points in the eight games where he played at least 20 minutes. The Suns have a lot of size up front, so Valanciunas might be called upon for extra playing time Tuesday. Based on this price, his upside with the potential for extra minutes makes him a viable option for your entry.
