Leandro Nicolas Bolmaro was born September 11, 2000 in Las Varillas, a city in the Cordoba Province of Argentina. He started his basketball career playing with the youth teams of a local Cordoban squad named Almafuerte de Las Varillas. As a 16-year-old, Bolmaro signed with with Estudiantes de Bahia Blanca of the Liga Nacional de Basquet, the top basketball league in Argentina. In April of 2018, Bolmaro played for the World Team at the Nike Hoop Summit in Portland. Later in 2018, the 6-foot-7 guard signed with FC Barcelona and moved to Spain. Bolmaro began his professional basketball career on July 16, 2017 as a 16-year-old, signing with Estudiantes de Bahia Blanca of Liga Nacional de Basquet, the top basketball league in Argentina. Following that campaign, he moved to Spain to play for FC Barcelona for the 2018-19 season. There, Bolmaro averaged 10.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game for the reserve team in the LEB Oro -- Spain's tier two league. The following season, he split time between the reserve and senior team. With the B team, he averaged 14.9 points, 3.6 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 26.3 minutes per game. The best performance of Bolmaro's career was Mar. 23, 2019 against Magia Huesca, where he posted 30 points (11-16 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four steals, two blocks, two assists and one rebound in 29 minutes.
