Shut down for 2025
Lower Body
September 8, 2025
Porter (lower body) is out for the remainder of the season, per Inside NU.
ANALYSIS
Porter was carted off the field in the second half of Northwestern's win over Western Illinois and didn't return. Now, the Wildcats' worst fears are confirmed as Porter will officially miss remainder of the 2025 season. In his stead, expect Joseph Himon and Kaleb Komolafe to lead the way in the backfield.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Porter was a rising star in the Northwestern backfield who looked set for a huge 2021 campaign, but missed the season with a preseason knee injury. Porter averaged 24.3 carries per contest over his last three games in 2020 with 301 yards rushing and four touchdowns. If fully healthy, he'll likely split playing time with Evan Hull but could become the primary early-down and goal-line back.
Northwestern seems to have found its next workhorse in Porter, who toted the rock 73 times for 301 yards and four touchdowns in the Wildcats’ final three games, including the Big Ten Championship and the bowl. Of course, Drake Anderson looked like the workhorse of the future after his strong 2019 and he has since transferred to Arizona. Isaiah Bowser had a similar fate in 2018 and is now at UCF. That goes to show that while Porter has a nice projected role that can lead to fantasy production, job security may be perilously low, especially with Andrew Clair now in the fold.
