Third unofficial ODI Preview: India A vs. New Zealand A

Having already lost the series in the previous encounter at Mount Maunganui, hosts New Zealand A will lock horns with the touring India A side for one last time at the same venue, in a bid to salvage their pride. They posted competitive totals of 308 and 299 runs in both of their previous two matches. But a strong Indian batting unit chased the totals down comfortably on both occasions.

Toss has played a big factor in this series as India A have been lucky enough to call it right on both occasions. Results are there to be seen. The hosts will hope that luck would favour them this time around as that's all that they need apart from the excellent performances by their players so far.

Wicket-keeper: Tim Seifert (8 Cr)

Seifert played a good hand of 59 runs off just 53 deliveries in the first match but followed up with a disappointing knock of 14 in the second . Although his counterpart Ishan Kishan also played a good knock of 47 runs off 43 deliveries in the first match and failed in the second ODI, Seifert should be the preferred batsman here as he has home advantage to his side.

Batsman: Shreyas Iyer (9.5 Cr)

The Indian batsman set the base for an Indian victory in the first match with a superb knock of 54 after walking out to bat at No 3. He followed that up with another knock of 59 runs in the second ODI. He looks all set for another big knock this time around.

All-Rounder: Vijay Shankar (8.5 Cr)

The Indian all-rounder has scores of an unbeaten 81 and 59 in the two matches so far. He hasn't got any wickets to show in the 8 overs he has bowled in this series so far, but his batting prowess makes it worth to have him in the side.

Bowler: Siddarth Kaul (9 Cr)

Kaul was expensive during his initial overs in the first match but he came back well and ended up with bowling figures of 2 for 74 in 10 overs. In the second match he registered decent figures of 1 for 36. He should be amongst the wickets this time as well if everything goes right.
