DraftKings CS:GO Wednesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings CS:GO series.

Games (EDT)

  • 12:00 p.m: Fnatic (FNC) vs. BIG Clan (BIG)
  • 3:00 p.m: ENCE (E) vs. G2 Esports (G2)
  • 3:00 p.m: Movistar Riders (MR) vs. FaZe Clan (FaZe)
  • 6:00 p.m: Gen.G (GenG) vs. Evil Geniuses (EG)

Fnatic vs. BIG Clan

The first match of Wednesday is the upper bracket semi-final and one of the most interesting matches in the world of CS:GO as BIG Clan take on Fnatic. I called BIG Clan the best team in the world Tuesday, and they've done nothing to suggest that's not the case; in fact, they play one of the few teams that challenge them to that title Wednesday. The Swedes of Fnatic are currently rated fifth in the world, but a resurgence from Brollan and KRIMZ has them looking like a scary team to face. Fnatic and BIG have both won four of their last five matches, with the Swedes coming in on a six-map win streak, the Germans a four-map win streak. These two sides have not met for over three months and will feature a very interesting map veto, with Mirage, Overpass and Inferno likely destinations for this match, a veto that should favor the German side, which comes in as the favorite. If Fnatic want to upset BIG Clan they will need JW and Brollan to match the excellence of syrsoN and tabseN, respectively, a very tall task. This match offers incredible value, as tabseN is priced at only $10,200 as a captain, a potential steal.

Prediction: 2-1 Fnatic

Fnatic vs.

This match offers incredible value, as tabseN is priced at only $10,200 as a captain, a potential steal.

Prediction: 2-1 Fnatic

  • FNC Players to Target: Brollan ($13,500 Captain, $9,000 Flex), flusha ($11,700 Captain, $7,800 Flex)
  • BIG Players to Target: syrsoN ($13,200 Captain, $8,800 Flex), tabseN ($10,200 Captain, $6,800 Flex)

ENCE vs. G2 Esports

The second match of the day is the ninth-place decider between G2 Esports and ENCE, with both teams looking to end a disappointing showing on a positive note. Both teams would have expected to make playoff runs, and G2, in particular, were favorites to take the cs_summit6 title. G2 are relatively heavy favorites, and if kennyS and huNter- can show their good form of late, they should have far too much firepower for a Jamppi-less ENCE. G2 have been struggling for consistency in the last three months, especially on their first pick and home map Dust2, which they are likely to open with against ENCE, a deadly Train team. The final map is likely to be Nuke or Mirage, two maps that both sides have had struggles on, and an overall very neutral veto. Look towards the AWPer's kennyS and allu to decide this match, as ENCE look to end their final match of cs_summit6 with xseven on a win.

Prediction: 2-1 ENCE

  • E Players to Target: allu ($12,900 Captain, $8,600 Flex)
  • G2 Players to Target: huNter- ($12,600 Captain, $8,400 Flex), kennyS ($10,200 Captain, $6,800 Flex)

FaZe Clan vs. Movistar Riders

The third match of the day, and final European one, is the 11th-place decider, and the most one-sided match of the day by a huge margin. If MR can take a single map off of FaZe Clan they will consider that a massive victory, and an upset. FaZe Clan, bolstered by NiKo and broky should have far too much skill and star power for MR to handle. alex and mopoz from the MR side are the only two players who have been able to stay on the pace in cs_summit6, and even they have struggled to make an impact against the top teams. The veto is likely to end up on Inferno, Mirage and Overpass, a set of maps that should favor the international side of FaZe Clan. This match could be a statement match from FaZe Clan, to end an incredibly disappointing tournament with a strong win as they continue the summer season. The value in this match is likely to come from all of FaZe Clan, though with recent rumors about their interest in English in-game leader Alex, of Vitality, Bymas may have concern in the back of his mind.

Prediction: 2-0 FaZe Clan

  • FaZe Players to Target: NiKo ($13,800 Captain, $9,200 Flex), coldzera ($10,800 Captain, $7,200 Flex)
  • MR Players to Target: ALEX ($12,300 Captain, $8,200 Flex)

Evil Geniuses vs. Gen.G

The final match of the day moves to North America with the second upper bracket semi-final, this time between Evil Geniuses and Gen.G, a match that features the most in-form team in North America in Evil Geniuses. This match looks to be quite one-sided barring an excellent upset from Gen.G, as Evil Geniuses have been taking down everyone with excellent form, especially from CeRq and Brehze. If Gen.G do want to upset EG they will look towards BnTeT and autimatic, two experienced veterans who have high-end potential to completely take over a series. To take down a team as strong as EG, it will take a complete team performance from Gen.G, including the supports of s0m and daps, who have struggled for personal firepower recently. The map veto is likely to end up on Inferno, Dust2 and Vertigo, three maps that both teams enjoy, but a veto that has an advantage for EG in win rate across the board. The value in this match would come from a Gen.G upset, as their core of firepower come into the match with very low prices, especially autimatic at $9,600.

Prediction: 2-1 Evil Geniuses

  • EG Players to Target: CeRq ($12,300 Captain, $8,200 Flex), Brehze ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex)
  • GenG Players to Target: koosta ($10,800 Captain, $7,200 Flex), autimatic ($9,600 Captain, $6,400 Flex)
