EuroLeague Primer: Round 4 - Friday

This article is part of our EuroLeague Primer series.

THE SLATE

ALBA Berlin at CSKA Moscow

Key Injuries: Janis Strelnieks (CSK)

Best Bets for Success: With Nikola Milutinov ready to play, CSKA will have four players capable of putting up big numbers in Round 4 and beyond. That will make it a bit tough to identify which one puts up the most fantasy points in a given Round, but at least for Friday's contest, Mike James and Will Clyburn seem the most likely to do so. While neither player started the last two games, that did not stop them both from averaging 30 points on DraftKings. They could both hit that mark again Friday facing an ALBA squad that is allowing opponents to score a league-high 87.7 points per game. While ALBA is giving up a lot of points, they aren't scoring that many, which limits the fantasy options on their team. Luke Sikma's production has steadily increased, but the German team's best option seems to be Marcus Eriksson, who is getting up 10 shots per game and easily leads the team with an average of 15.3 points per contest.

DFS Darlings: ALBA does have one intriguing cheap play in Jayson Granger, who is top-10 in the league in assists and steals per game and only costs $6,100 on DraftKings. CSKA'S top-heavy roster limits the cheaper options on their squad, but if they light up the scoreboard, that could mean a nice day for Darrun Hilliard, who averaged 10.6 points in just 19 minutes per game last season.

FC Bayern Munich at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul

Key Injuries: Melih Mahmutoglu (ULK), Ahmet Duverioglu (ULK)

Best Bets for Success: This game features six players of the 18 players averaging at least 25 DraftKings points on Friday's slate, and just one of them comes with a five-figure salary. That player is Nando de Colo, who has found his shooting stroke and is contributing in numerous categories. He will be among the safest plays on just about any slate, and his DraftKings price is not outrageous by any means. Jan Vesely will also be a safe option, as the former MVP is back in top form and also sports a well-rounded line. Vladimir Lucic should have a nice game, but he's also shooting at an unsustainable rate, which gives some reason to pause. Wade Baldwin seems like the best bet for Bayern, as he has scored at least 13 points and put up at least 36 points on DraftKings in each of the first three Rounds.

DFS Darlings: No one below the $8,000 mark on DraftKings particularly stands out in this game, as Nick Weiler-Babb could not back up his breakout Round 2 game and it's unlikely Jarell Eddie hits six three again Friday. Danilo Barthel at least has some intrigue, as he gets the opportunity to face his former team for the first time and is capable of hitting 20 points on DraftKings, something he did seven times with Bayern last season.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv at Olympiacos Piraeus

Key Injuries: Omri Casspi (TEL), Yovel Zoosman (TEL), John DiBartolomeo (TEL), Livio Jean-Charles (OLY)

Best Bets for Success: Scottie Wilbekin is by far the highest scorer in this game, so he's easily the safest play. Kostas Sloukas and Ante Zizic are both fine options as well, and neither costs more than $8,600 on DraftKings, which puts them in play if you're trying to spread out the salaries evenly.

DFS Darlings: Zizic is right on the border of safe play and value play, but with him already getting a mention, Olympiacos' Aaron Harrison gets top billing in this section. Harrison is still relatively cheap despite putting up 30 points on DraftKings earlier this week.

Real Madrid at AX Armani Exchange Milan

Key Injuries: Vladimir Micov (MIL), Kevin Punter (MIL), Kyle Hines (MIL)

Best Bets for Success: This is a tough game to read, as the presumptive safest plays on both squads -- Madrid's Facundo Campazzo and Walter Tavares and Milan's Malcolm Delaney -- all struggled their last time out. Campazzo and Tavares still seem like the safest options for Madrid, and both will at least cost less than they did last time. We'll stick with a point guard for Milan, but swap Delaney for Sergio Rodriguez, who averaged just under 29 points on DraftKings over the last two Rounds.

DFS Darlings: As far as values go in this one, Kaleb Tarczewski should see a bump in minutes if Hines sits out, and he will cost just $5,400 on DraftKings. Zach LeDay's price has also dropped low enough to make him a nice value. While it seems unlikely Sergio Llull and Nicolas Laprovittola will match their Round 3 production, they have both returned the most value on DraftKings of the Madrid players even with just one big game a piece.

Khimki Moscow Region at TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz

Key Injuries: Alexey Shved (KHI), Greg Monroe (KHI), Janis Timma (KH), Jordan Mickey (KHI), Stefan Jovic (KHI), Dairis Bertans (KHI), Evgeny Voronov (KHI), Sergey Karasev (KHI), Zoran Dragic (BAS)

Best Bets for Success: Pierria Henry and Rokas Giedraitis are off to hot starts and both rank top-5 on Tuesday's slate in average DraftKings points. They are safe options in just about any fantasy contest. With Khimki still short-handed Jonas Jerebko and Devin Booker are bound to have big games again. Vyacheslav Zaytsev isn't quite the value he was earlier this week, but with no Shved he's still among the safest options in this game.

DFS Darlings: Alec Peters and Achille Polonara are both averaging over 20 DraftKings points per game, and neither will cost you more than $5,900 in those contests. If you're considering using either or both it might be best to wait and see who starts before finalizing your lineups. Dairis Bertans will be worthy of a roster spot if he suits up, and if he doesn't, Vladislav Odinokov should fit in nicely on DraftKings at just $4,800.
