Kumerow secured a spot on the Bills' initial 53-man roster released Tuesday, The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
The journeyman wideout out of Wisconsin-Whitewater had a fantastic summer and leapfrogged some other receivers to nab a roster spot. He'll need some injuries to have meaningful fantasy value, but he's exceeded expectations so far, and both Josh Allen and previous teammate Aaron Rodgers have raved about his size and athletic ability. Keep his name in mind in the event injuries strike the high-powered Buffalo offense.

2018
Kumerow played 30 percent of the snaps last season after playing just 12 percent the year before, but that still landed him fifth among Packers receivers. He fared well when targeted, averaging 18.3 YPC and 10.4 YPT, but that was only 21 times all year.
After toiling around the league for a few years, Kumerow made a strong impression last training camp, and played himself into some type of role in the offense. However, an injury suffered in the second preseason game cost him several months of action, and he did not make his season debut until Week 13. Kumerow played mainly a bit role, averaging just over two targets per game, but did make a noticeable impact in the Packers' Week 16 victory over the Jets. The team saw enough to bring him back for 2019, but he will once again be forced to compete not only for snaps, but a roster spot.
Kumerow entered training camp as a long shot to come away with a roster spot, but he impressed early and often -- particularly drawing praise from Aaron Rodgers -- and is now firmly in the conversation for a roster spot. If Kumerow does make the cut, it's unlikely he would play a prominent role out of the gate, though.
