Caleb Huntley

25-Year-Old Running BackRB

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Huntley went undrafted out of Ball State in 2021 and made his NFL debut last season, garnering a role after Cordarrelle Patterson suffered a knee injury. The 229-pound back earned the trust of coach Arthur Smith, totaling 10-plus carries three times between Weeks 4 and 8. Huntley still got occasional work after Patterson returned Week 9, finishing his rookie campaign with 76 rushes for 366 yards in 12 games before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury. Huntley will likely start 2023 on injured reserve, but even if he's healthy, Bijan Robinson and rookie first-rounder Tyler Allgeier are expected to lead Atlanta's backfield. Read Past Outlooks

Huntley (Achilles) had a tryout with the Ravens on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Huntley suffered an Achilles injury in Week 15 of the 2022 campaign and went unsigned this offseason, but he now appears ready to return to action. With Keaton Mitchell (knee) done for the year, Baltimore is a potential destination for Huntley to get another shot.

Depth piece for Baltimore?
RBFree Agent
March 30, 2024
Huntley is set to meet with the Ravens for a second time this offseason, Matt Urben of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Huntley rushed for 366 yards and a touchdown over 76 carries in 2022 before his season was cut short by a torn Achilles in Week 15. With the Falcons carrying Tyler Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson and drafting Bijan Robinson in the 2023 NFL Draft, the team opted to let go of Huntley in July of 2023. The undrafted running back had a workout with the Ravens in December, and he would add depth to Baltimore's backfield behind 30-year-old Derrick Henry, Keaton Mitchell -- who is recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee -- and Justice Hill.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Huntley was signed by the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Ball State in 2021 and spent several weeks on the practice squad IR with an undisclosed injury, ultimately never seeing the active roster. Atlanta cut Mike Davis this offseason, but re-signed Cordarrelle Patterson, drafted Tyler Allgeier and added Damien Williams in free agency, so barring injury, it's unlikely Huntley makes the roster to start the 2022 campaign.
Primarily a bruising running back at 5-foot-10, 229 yards, Huntley put together a decent collegiate career, most notably running for 1,200 yards back in 2019 before injuries cut his senior year short. The 22-year-old will compete for a depth role in Atlanta's running back corps.
