2023 Projections
2022 Fantasy Outlook
After managing 119 tackles in 42 games over the prior three seasons while filling a depth role for the Vikings and Lions, Kearse nearly matched that total in 16 games for the Cowboys after seizing a starting job early in the year and never letting it go. The 28-year-old was more steady than explosive, but defensive coordinator Dan Quinn's scheme creates IDP value for its safeties, and Kearse was a beneficiary in 2021. After signing a two-year deal to stay in Dallas, Kearse will look to repeat his breakout. Read Past Outlooks

Takes step back in 2022
Kearse recorded 77 tackles (55 solo), including two sacks, while adding five passes defended with an interception, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble across 14 regular-season games in 2022.
ANALYSIS
The veteran safety posted strong numbers, but they paled in comparison to his 101-tackle campaign from the year before. Instead, it was Donovan Wilson who took a lead role in defensive coordinator Dan Quinn's scheme among Cowboys safeties, with Kearse and Malik Hooker delivering more modest IDP production. Wilson is a free agent this offseason, however, and if he heads elsewhere, Kearse again could be in a position to take a run at triple-digit tackles in 2023.
