SEPTEMBER UPDATE

The PGA Tour did not have fantasy golf in mind when it created its 2013-14 schedule. The upcoming season starts a mere two and half weeks after the current season's finale, the Tour Championship, which makes creating a fantasy draft kit a little more difficult than usual.

Previously, the fall season had little impact on draft content as it was ignored by higher-ranked golfers and most fantasy leagues alike, providing plenty of time after the Tour Championship to prepare the golf draft kit for its launch a month prior to the following season.

Beginning this season, however, fall events will start the PGA Tour year, rather than conclude it.

With that in mind, even though the current season still has two events to play, we're launching Version 1 of our golf draft kit now for leagues that use fall events, with rankings, earnings projections and sleepers and busts. Rankings are comprised of golfers who to date have earned tour cards for 2013-14: Top 125 on the PGA Tour money list, Top 125 on the FedEx Cup points list and Top 25 on the Web.com money list. Golfers will be added after The Finals and as news warrants.

After the Tour Championship, with a season's worth of results to consider, we'll prepare our usual draft kit for launch in late November, complete with season outlooks for every player, rookie rankings, foreign and non-member rankings and full tour-card winner rankings.

This way, fantasy leagues that use the fall events will have plenty of time to study for drafts, and non-fall leagues will have the usual assortment of draft content too.

If there's something you'd like to see in the draft kit, let us know in the comments.
