Macedo withdrew from her scheduled matchup against Ariane Lipski at UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday, Guilherme Cruz of reports.
Macedo appears to have fallen ill just hours prior to weigh-ins and will ultimately be unable to compete. The UFC replaced her with Isabela de Padua on the card on just hours' noticed. De Padua ended up missing weight, but the fight against Lipski will go on as planned.

Joins UFC Sao Paulo card
November 6, 2019
Macedo will fight Ariane Lipski in a flyweight bout at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 16, Guilherme Cruz of reports.
Macedo will step in to fight for Priscila Cachoeira on short notice after Cachoeira was forced to withdraw after failing a drug test. The 24-year-old Macedo is coming off a first-round win over Polyana Viana in August and will face an opponent in Lipski who is looking for her first UFC win.
Booked for UFC Busan
October 7, 2019
Macedo will take on Amanda Lemos in a strawweight matchup at UFC Busan on Dec. 31, Guilherme Cruz of reports.
Macedo's UFC career cot off to a rocky start with three consecutive losses, but she was able to bounce back with a first-round win over Polyana Viana in August that came with a Performance of the Night bonus. She'll look to carry that momentum into her third fight of 2019, where she'll take on a former bantamweight on foreign soil. Macedo's fantasy ceiling is limited due to a low striking volume (1.90 significant strikes landed per minute), but given Lemos absorbed 101 singificant strikes in her July 2017 UFC debut, it's possible Macedo can turn this trend around.
Picks up first UFC win
August 10, 2019
Macedo defeated Polyana Viana via submission (armbar) at 1:09 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night in Montevideo, Uruguay on Saturday.
Going into this fight, Macedo probably needed a victory to keep her job in the promotion. She had an 0-3 record in the UFC and had been stopped in her last outing. Macedo gave up an early takedown and appeared to be in trouble. However, she reversed the position and locked on a fight-ending armbar submission. She will probably continue to find the UFC flyweight division inhospitable, but she lives to fight again in the Octagon. Macedo will also take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for her efforts.
Gets new opponent in Uruguay
July 30, 2019
Macedo (5-3-1) is now scheduled to take on Polyana Viana (10-3-0) in a flyweight fight Aug. 10 at UFC Uruguay after Rachael Ostovich (undisclosed) announced her withdrawal Monday.
Macedo will have little time to prepare for a new opponent after Ostovich was one of three fighters Monday to pull out of the event in Montevideo. The 23-year-old has lost all three of her fights in her three years with the promotion, but she'll at least have the luxury of facing a new opponent who has similarly struggled since signing with the UFC. After winning in her Octagon debut in February 2018, Viana has lost two fights in a row.
Booked for Uruguay
June 14, 2019
Macedo is set to take on Rachael Ostovich in a flyweight bout at UFC Uruguay on August 10, Damon Martin of reports.
Macedo's UFC career couldn't be going worse over her first three years with the promotion, as she's gone winless in each of her first three fights. She most recently fell to Gillian Robertson via submission at UFC Fight Night 145 back in February. Come August, however, something will have to give as Ostovich has dropped two fights in a row herself.
