Struggles continue in Vegas
November 14, 2020
McKee lost to Alex Morono via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
McKee hung around in this fight and generated a fair amount of offense, but his complete inability to properly defend himself was his ultimate downfall. McKee is the type of fighter who is willing to eat a strike in order to land two of his own and that type of strategy rarely works in the UFC. McKee clearly has some things going for him but virtually all of his future potential is tied to the fact he turned just 25 years of age this past September. With back-to-back losses in less than four months to begin his UFC run, McKee may have to rack up a string of victories elsewhere before returning to the company.

Gets Alex Morono in second UFC bout
October 28, 2020
McKee (10-3-1) is scheduled to face Alex Morono (17-6-0, 1 NC) in a welterweight bout Nov. 14 at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
McKee will be making his second appearance in the Octagon after losing in his promotional debut back in July, when he fell to Khamzat Chimaev via TKO. The first-round loss ended a three-fight winning streak for McKee, who previously fought under the Cage Warriors and BAMMA banners.
Not competitive in UFC debut
July 25, 2020
McKee lost to Khamzat Chimaev via TKO (punches) at 3:09 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
You can't help but feel for McKee. He finally got his shot to compete in the UFC and had to go up against a guy who appears to be one of the most dominant prospects in the history of the sport. It's not all bad for McKee, however. He certainly got a nice payday to appear, and it's not as if anyone really expected him to compete (especially after closing as a +700 underdog in some places). McKee also will certainly get another opportunity with the company.
Booked for UFC debut
July 19, 2020
McKee has signed with the UFC and will take on Khamzat Chimaev in a welterweight matchup at UFC on ESPN 14 on Saturday at Fight Island, Simon Head of MMAJunkie.com reports.
McKee will enter the UFC after a few years of being a contender with Cage Warriors and prior to that, was the lightweight champion for BAMMA. He'll draw a tall task in his company debut, as Chimaev will have fought just 10 days earlier, picking up a dominant victory against John Phillips in his own debut. Given the fresh success of Chimaev, McKee is sitting as a betting underdog in the (+550) to (+700) range as of Sunday evening.
