Ketlen Vieira

Fight booked with Reneau
August 1, 2020
It was confirmed Saturday that Vieira will face off against Marion Reneau at the UFC Event on Sept. 26 in Las Vegas, Guilherme Cruz and Damon Martin of MMA Fighting report.
Vieira and Reneau were actually supposed to fight in May but the bout was canceled due to complications with the pandemic. That was just one of two potential matches that Vieira had canceled this year as she also had to withdraw from her Aug. 8 meeting with Yana Kunitskaya. Vieira will be looking to avenge herself as she hasn't fought since suffering her first professional loss, a KO to Irene Aldana back at UFC 245 in Dec.

Out of fight on August 8
July 30, 2020
Vieira has withdrawn from her fight against Yana Kunitskaya on August 8, Marcel Dorff of reports.
It's not clear at this point the reason for her withdraw, but Julija Stoliarenko will take her place. This bantamweight bout was originally supposed to be a week earlier, but now Vieira will have to wait further for her first match since losing her first fight last December.
Match postponed one week
July 12, 2020
Vieira's bantamweight tilt against Yana Kunitskaya has been moved from Aug. 1 to 8, Cole Shelton of CBS Sports reports.
It remains to be seen why Vieira's upcoming fight against Kunitskaya has been moved, but it'll give both fighters the small benefit of an additional week to prepare. Both combatants are looking to bounce back after losses last December.
Slated to face Kunitskaya in August
June 16, 2020
Vieira (10-1-0) is scheduled to face Yana Kunitskaya (12-5-0, 1 NC) in a bantamweight matchup Aug. 1 at a yet-to-be-determined location, Farah Hannoun of USA Today reports.
After winning her first 10 professional MMA fights -- including her first four with the UFC -- Vieira took a loss in her last trip to the Octagon at UFC 245 in Las Vegas in December, when Irene Aldana knocked her out in the first round. Vieira had initially planned to return to action in May against Marlon Reneau, but work visa issues forced the Brazilian fighter to pull out of the event. The 28-year-old apparently expects to have her necessary paperwork in order for the August event, wherever it's ultimately held.
Removed from UFC 250 card
April 9, 2020
Vieira will not fight at UFC 250 versus Marion Reneau due to work visa issues surrounding the event's relocation to the United States, reports.
Vieira is one of seven Brazilian fighters who will have to be removed from the card because they don't have working visas in the United States. It's unclear exactly when the UFC circuit will fire up again in Brazil, but Vieira will have to wait at least a little longer for her next shot in the octagon.
Taking on Reneau in Sao Paulo
March 16, 2020
Vieira (10-1-0) is scheduled to take on Marion Reneau (9-5-1) in a bantamweight fight May 9 at UFC 250 in Sao Paulo, John Morgan of USA Today reports.
Vieira saw a potential shot at the women's bantamweight title fall by the wayside after she suffered the first loss of her professional career at UFC 245, when she was knocked out by Irene Aldana. She'll look to bounce back from the disappointing showing with a matchup in her home country of Brazil against the 42-year-old Reneau, who has dropped her last two fights.
