This fight was originally supposed to take place on Oct. 16, but it was pushed back a month to allow Miesha Tate recover from a positive COVID-19 test. Vieira was last in the Octagon back in February when she lost by unanimous decision to Yana Kunitskaya.

Tate fight postponed

Vieira's fight with Miesha Tate won't occur at the Oct. 16 UFC event after the latter tested positive for COVID-19, Damon Martin of reports.
Martin adds that the fight is likely to be rescheduled. Vieira probably won't get into another bout and will instead wait for Tate to be healthy and ready to fight again.

Vieira will fight Miesha Tate at the Oct. 16 UFC event, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
Vieira saw her fight scheduled for Aug. 28 taken off the card after Sara McMann withdrew with an injury. Vieira will take on a high-profile opponent in Tate, who won her first fight in nearly five years via TKO (strikes) over Marion Reneau in July.

Vieira is slated to take on Sara McMann in a bantamweight matchup at UFC Fight Night on Aug. 28, reports.
Vieira defeated McMann in September of 2017, but Vieira has gone 2-2 since then, with her most recent fight ending in a loss to Yana Kunitskaya via unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 19 in February. McMann most recently lost to Julianna Pena via submission (rear-naked choke) at UFC 257 in January and has now dropped three of her last four fights. Vieira has advantages in both height and reach.

Vieira lost to Yana Kunitskaya via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Vegas 19 on Saturday.
Vieira had success with her control grappling, but Kunitskaya inflicted more damage throughout the fight (215 total strikes to 35). It came down to Round 3, where Vieira dominated with control, but Kunitskaya ended the round strong with hard ground-and-pound that opened up a cut on Vieira's head. Vieira started her UFC run with a four-fight winning streak, but with the competition rising, she's now 1-2 in her last three fights. To make matters worse, she was one of the bigger betting favorites on the card at (-270).
