Co-main event still on
Vieira's scheduled bantamweight matchup against Yana Kunitskaya will move forward as planned despite Vieira missing weight by two pounds Friday morning, John Morgan of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Vieira will have to forfeit 20 percent of her fight purse to her opponent, but Saturday's co-main event will remain in tact as a result. With an expected advantage in the ground game against Kunitskaya, the 29-year-old Vieira enters as one of the larger betting favorites on the card at approximately (-270).

Trouble with scales
Vieira weighed in at 138 pounds Friday, two pounds over the limit for a non-title bantamweight fight.
ANALYSIS
Unlike the subsequent large misses Friday morning, Vieira was at least in the ballpark and will likely see this fight move forward after surrendering some of her fight purse, provided she's healthy. Vieira is one of the larger betting favorites on the card at roughly (-270) for her scheduled matchup against Yana Kunitskaya.

Rebooks matchup with Kunitskaya
Vieira (11-1-0) reached an agreement Monday to face Yana Kunitskaya (13-5-0, 1 NC) in a bantamweight matchup set for the UFC's Feb. 20 event, Farah Hannoun of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
The two were initially scheduled to fight one another Aug. 8, but visa issues forced Vieira to withdraw for the matchup, with Julija Stoliarenko stepping in as a replacement. Vieira went on to face Sijara Eubanks on Sept. 26, winning in a unanimous decision to improve her record to 5-1 since joining the UFC.

Rebounds with victory
Vieira defeated Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 253 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
It was a solid if unspectacular performance from the Brazilian. Coming off a shocking first-round knockout loss at the hands of Irene Aldana last December, Vieira did what was necessary to get by her late-notice opponent. That's the good news. The bad news is that Vieira clearly faded as the fight progressed, with Eubanks clearly winning Round 3. Vieira got a ton of publicity after winning her first four UFC bouts, but two of those came via split decision. She's just 29 years old, and there is room for immediate advancement in the UFC's women bantamweight division.

Set to face Sijara Eubanks
