No-shows Vegas loss
Bilder lost to Jeong Yeong Lee via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a true no-show from Bilder, who was dominated from bell to bell. Blake's entire offensive arsenal consisted of pinning Lee up against the cage. Of course, he did nothing with his positional advantage. At distance, Bilder was overwhelmed. He was lucky to survive Round 1 and gave up a takedown to Lee in each of the final two frames. Blake has some theoretical upside as a powerful wrestler with a decent gas tank, but it simply hasn't come together inside the Octagon. A loser of back-to-back fights, Bilder likely needs a win next time out in order to save his job.

No-shows UFC 289 loss
Bilder lost to Kyle Nelson via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC 289 on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
It's the first professional loss of Bilder's career, and he more than earned it. Entering as a stunning -275 favorite, Blake looked good for about four minutes. It was all downhill from there. He was rocked by Nelson late in Round 1 before landing just a dozen total strikes in Round 2. With the bout possibly up for grabs in Round 3, Bilder showboated and went for repeated massive roundhouse kicks which had no chance of landing, instead of actually trying to win. Set to turn 33 years of age in the middle of July and with all of ten professional fights under his belt, Bilder's ceiling isn't particularly high.

Wins decision in UFC debut
Bilder defeated Shane Young via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC 284 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Making his UFC debut in enemy territory, Bilder, a product of Dana White's Contender Series, put forth a solid, if unspectacular performance. He landed a late takedown in Round 1 to secure the opening frame, and with the fight in the balance entering Round 3, picked up the pace on the feet. Bilder was credited with 62 total strikes landed in the final frame after connecting on 64 in the first two rounds combined. A native of Minnesota, Bilder will be 33 years of age this coming July and has just nine professional fights under his belt, so it's imperative he get back in the Octagon as soon as possible.

ANALYSIS
Bilder defeated Alexander Morgan via submission (rear-naked choke) at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series and received a UFC contract following the show. He'll make his debut with the promotion against Young, who lost to Omar Morales via unanimous decision at UFC 260 in March of 2021 and received a medical suspension afterward due to left tibia/fibula injuries. The two fighters are even in height, but Young has an advantage in reach.
