Abdul-Malik's win over Cody Brundage on June 14 has been overturned to a draw following Brundage's successful appeal with the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.

Abdul-Malik was initially awarded a victory after an accidental clash of heads led to his stoppage of Brundage, and after replay review, the referee sent the fight to the scorecards rather than call a no-contest. The commission applied that law, with the scorecards then landing at 19-19, 19-19 and 20-18 -- effectively a majority draw. Abdul-Malik falls from 9-0 to 8-0-1 due to the ruling.
