Dominates Marcin Prachnio
Petrino defeated Marcin Prachnio via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 3:42 of Round 3 at UFC 290 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Entering the evening with six knockouts and zero submissions in his prior eight pro bouts, Petrino completely flipped the script on Prachnio and leaned on his wrestling to secure the win. He did his fair share of damage on the feet as well, but he wisely recognized Marcin was offering nothing on the mat and went to the takedown again and again. In a fight that lasted a shade under 14 minutes, Petrino landed four takedowns for 8:39 worth of control time. The Brazilian has work to do in terms of rounding out his game, particularly defensively, but he's a high-upside prospect in a light heavyweight division that needs all the talent it can find.

Gets second UFC fight in July
Petrino is expected to take on Marcin Prachnio in a light heavyweight matchup at UFC 290 on July 8 in Las Vegas, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Petrino currently owns a spotless 8-0 record in professional MMA, though his UFC experience is limited to a second-round finish on Contender Series, and more recently, a FOTN-winning performance against Anton Turkalj in March. He tallied seven takedowns in that matchup, which is a skill he could employ in July against the 62 percent takedown defense of Prachnio. Petrino will also hold a three-inch reach advantage.

Easy win in UFC debut
Petrino defeated Anton Turkalj via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a competent performance from Petrino in his UFC debut against a late-notice opponent. Entering having won six of his first seven career bouts via knockout, Petrino leaned on the takedown here. He connected on 7-of-9 attempts, good for 6:13 worth of control time. He did allow Turkalj to scored five successful takedowns of his own, but the decision here wasn't in doubt in doubt despite relatively even striking numbers. It was also enough to earn both combatants a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus. We'll see how the 25-year-old Brazilian fares his next time out against what presumably will be a better opponent.
