Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Brighton v. Liverpool Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

Game Preview

Brighton have a lot to play for given their position in the standings, and they might take a gigantic step towards avoiding relegation if they can clinch a positive result Wednesday against Liverpool. The Gulls are in 15th place with 36 points but are nine points above Aston Villa, who sit 18th. In other words, a win here and a loss from Villa could grant Brighton another year in England's top-flight. The issue, however, lies on the fact they face a Liverpool team that remains alive in the quest for several Premier League records. The Reds have not had good results on the road of late but remain the best team in the competition by a wide margin. They're so good they already clinched the league title with several matches left in the schedule! This is not going to be an easy matchup for Brighton by any means.

Top Picks

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool: Salah has a knack for finding the back of the net against Brighton, netting the opener in three of his last four matches against the Seagulls. The Egypt international is the league's fourth-best scorer with 17 goals, and while it might be too late for him to be crowned top scorer again, he is a player to be wary of every time he steps on the pitch.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool: Alexander-Arnold might not be a forward, but he certainly looks like one with his attacking runs and ability in the final meters. That ability to become an attacking threat and Liverpool's potential to earn a clean sheet make him a great alternative for this contest.
