The recent changes in scoring on DraftKings, one of the most popular daily fantasy soccer hosts, has increased the number of statistics that need to be researched and analyzed in order to build successful lineups. Below is a list of all 20 clubs and their team stat-leaders in the positive point-accumulating categories on DraftKings.

Please note that some players were removed if they are sidelined with long-term injuries, and the second-highest producer was used in the table in their stead.

Notes:

  • Callum Wilson (out for the year with a torn ACL) leads Bournemouth in goals (five)
  • Jordan Amavi (out for the year with a torn ACL) leads Aston Villa in tackles (30) and interceptions (37)
  • Dimitri Payet (out for three months with an ankle injury) leads West Ham in goals (5), assists (3), SOT (11), crosses (102)
One player who jumped out at me was Romelu Lukaku, who is the only player in the Premier League that leads his team in goals, assists, shots and shots on target.

It's also quite clear just how much of an advantage it is having Robbie Brady and Marc Albrighton in lineups, as they are the only players with over 100 crosses, with Matt Ritchie and Dusan Tadic close behind (and also well ahead of the rest of the pack).

The addition of interceptions and tackles were surely meant to increase the value of centerbacks, but with the latter accounting for only 0.5 points per tackle, it's clear that focusing on interceptions and crosses is the way to higher scores.
