FPL GW5 Differentials: Less Popular Gems to Boost Your Rank
Gameweek 5 in Fantasy Premier League will be a difficult one to navigate given the nature of the fixture slate. Tough fixtures for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea will force FPL managers to look beyond the usual template picks. That's where differentials come in.
In this article, I highlight the best FPL differentials for Gameweek 5 who could provide the points that you're looking for.
Emmanuel Agbadou - 0.4%
Wolves have struggled this season and are the only team in the league without a point after four games. So, you're probably wondering why one of their defenders is being suggested as a good differential option for this week.
It's all about the matchup.
Wolves are home against Leeds this week, a team that's scored just once this season via a weak penalty in the Gameweek 1 opener.
Not only that, but Emmanuel Agbadou has also hit the defensive contribution threshold twice already, so he is a good differential punt this week.

Ibrahima Konate - 3.2%
Despite the Marc Guehi transfer looking all but complete on deadline day, Liverpool failed to sign a proven Premier League center-back over the summer.
This is great news for the minutes of Konate, who now looks set to partner Virgil van Dijk in most of the games that he's available for this season.
The Liverpool captain is, of course, the better asset for FPL due to the amount of clearances that he comes up with each game, but he's more expensive.
If you want a piece of the Liverpool defence at a slightly cheaper price, Konate is a good option at £5.5m.
Yeremy Pino (0.2%) – Crystal Palace Midfield Differential vs West Ham
Pino makes this list for the second week in a row after an impressive debut in Gameweek 4.
Crystal Palace's new signing finished with three shots, two big chances and an xG of 0.73 against Sunderland at the weekend.
With Ismaila Sarr still out for a couple more weeks, the Spanish international should be safe for minutes in one of the two positions behind Jean-Philippe Mateta. Even when Sarr returns, there's a decent chance Pino remains in the XI where Eberechi Eze's spot used to be.
The Eagles have another nice fixture this week with West Ham away, who have conceded the most goals in the league. Pino is a good differential on barely any FPL teams.
Xavi Simons (2.5%) – Spurs New Midfielder Against Brighton
Speaking of West Ham, Simons made his debut against the East London side in Spurs' emphatic 3-0 victory.
He managed to claim the assist for the first goal as he was tasked with taking corner kicks from the left-hand side. The Dutchman was also on some free kicks and generally had an impressive game.
Spurs' opponents in Gameweek 5 are Brighton, who have yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Still underutilized given his potential role with Spurs, Simons is a great differential.

Evanilson (2.7%) – Bournemouth Forward Differential vs Newcastle
Bournemouth impressed once again at the weekend in their 2-1 win at the Amex Stadium where Evanilson won the match-winning penalty.
The Cherries' talisman this season has been Antoine Semenyo, but that isn't to say that his teammates haven't been involved in the goals. Two fantasy goal contributions for the Brazilian striker in his last two games show that he will also chip in.
Newcastle at home this weekend wouldn't typically feel like a fixture to target, but the Magpies have a Thursday night game against Barcelona, so they may rotate or, at the very least, be slightly fatigued at the weekend.
Tolu Arokodare - 0.0%
If you only look at the stats from Tolu's debut for Wolves against Newcastle, it would suggest that he didn't have a great game. He took no shots, created no chances and registered an expected goal involvement of 0.00.
However, it wasn't as bad as the stats suggest.
On multiple occasions, he almost found himself in goal-scoring opportunities, with one in particular where Fabian Schar took the ball off his toe as he was about to slot the ball home.
Wolves have a nice home fixture this weekend, and if Jorgen Strand Larsen is still out, then Tolu is a great differential.
