Seattle Mariners
vs. Detroit Tigers
Jack Flaherty over 5.5 strikeouts, (+118 at BetRivers Sportsbook)
The Tigers lost the first two games of the series and have their backs against the wall Tuesday, so they'll turn the ball over to Flaherty to remain alive in the ALDS. The right-hander was decent in his previous postseason start, tossing 4.2 innings and allowing one earned run on three hits and two walks while striking out four batters against the Guardians in a no-decision, although the Tigers ended up winning that game.
Flaherty drew one start versus the Mariners during the regular season, pitching five innings and surrendering two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters July 13. Flaherty has struck out at least four in his last four starts between the end of the regular season and the playoffs, so at least there's a decent floor for this line. The Tigers need him to be at his best here.

Toronto Blue Jays
vs. New York Yankees
Aaron Judge Over 1.5 total bases (-105 at BetMGM)
The Yankees were outmuscled in the first two games of the ALDS in Toronto, and if they want to start a comeback, Aaron Judge needs to start producing like the AL MVP candidate that he is. He's yet to go yard in the playoffs, and only has one extra-base hit to his name, although he's recorded at least two hits in four of his five postseason contests so far. Going 8-for-18 with one double, two RBI and two walks is not enough.
Simply put, Judge needs to show the power that made him club 53 homers in the regular season. If he does, there's a good chance the Yankees will be able to extend the series to an eventual Game 4. If he doesn't, however, then the Yankees could end up getting swept by a division rival. There's value in this line of Over 1.5 total bases, though, as he's cleared it in four of five postseason contests, and he also did it in four of his last five regular-season contests.

Toronto Blue Jays
vs. New York Yankees
Shane Bieber Under 5.5 strikeouts (-113 at Caesars Sportsbook)
The Blue Jays hand the ball to Bieber to carry them to the ALCS, and the one-time Cy Young winner will be making his first start of the postseason Tuesday. Following a return from Tommy John surgery in mid-August, Bieber produced a 3.57 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 37:7 K:BB across 40.1 regular-season innings. However, Game 3 of the ALDS doesn't appear to be the best scenario for a dominant performance for the right-hander.
For one, Bieber has yet to face the Yankees this season, and it's unclear how he'd handle a lineup full of heavy hitters that was among the best offenses in all of baseball in 2025. Plus, he didn't record more than five strikeouts in any of his previous four regular-season starts. Even though he had a 9.3 K/9 in three road starts in the regular season, those were against the Marlins, Royals and Reds. The Yankees are a few echelons above all three in terms of offensive talent, making this a complicated matchup for Bieber -- at least on paper.
