Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with Delhi Capitals in the 50th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Chennai on Wednesday. The game is expected to be an interesting one as the two sides are at the top of the table with 16 points each after playing 12 matches. Therefore, the game is an opportunity for either side to strengthen chances of finishing in the top-two. In the previous meeting between both teams earlier in the competition, it was Chennai who came out on top with a six-wicket margin.
The home side will be coming in the match a little shaken after suffering a 46-run defeat in their previous match against Mumbai Indians. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, veteran left-hander Suresh Raina, right-handed batsman Ambati Rayudu and captain MS Dhoni to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the bowling front, the onus will be on the spin trio of Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh to provide timely breakthroughs.
On the other hand, Delhi will be coming in the match high on confidence after securing their first playoffs qualification in six years with a 16-run win in their previous match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan, young Prithvi Shaw, captain Shreyas Iyer and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant to score bulk of the runs,
