Rajshahi Kings vs. Rangpur Riders: 36th Match Preview

Rajshahi Kings are ready to face Rangpur Riders in the match 36 of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in Chittagong on Tuesday. The game will be an interesting one for both teams as a win can take Kings closer to the top-half of the table, whereas a heavy defeat can push Riders to as low as sixth on the table from the top of the charts. In the previous meeting between both teams earlier in the competition, it was the Kings who came out on top with two-wicket margin.

In the previous match, Kings registered an impressive seven-run win against Chittagong Vikings at the same venue where Tuesday's match will be played. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of Johnson Charles, Laurie Evans and Ryan ten Doeschate to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz, left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman and left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny to provide timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, Riders will also come in the match full of confidence after winning their previous match against Dhaka Dynamites by eight-wicket margin. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of Alex Hales, AB de Villiers and Rilee Rossouw to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of captain Mashrafe Mortaza and Shafiul Islam to provide timely breakthroughs.

Key Players:

AB de Villiers – 10.5 Cr

First in the list of key players features Rangpur Riders' AB de Villiers. The 34-year-old is known as one of the best batsman of this generation. In this tournament, De Villiers is having a good time as he has already scored 176 runs at an average of over 58. In the team's previous match, former South Africa captain scored a breathtaking 100 not out off just 50 balls and took his team over the line. Those numbers suggest that De Villiers, who is valued at 10.5 Cr, is the player to have in your team. The Pretoria-born right-hander has played in 265 T20s, where he has scored 7,107 runs at an average of 35.53.

Alex Hales – 9 Cr

Second in the list of key players features Rangpur Riders' Alex Hales. The England international was having a hard time earlier in the competition but is in great form of late as he has registered two half centuries and a century in last three matches. Those numbers suggest that Hales, who is valued at 9 Cr, is in red-hot form and is the player to have in your team. The 30-year-old has played in 198 T20s in his career, where he has scored 5,462 runs at an average of 29.68.

Johnson Charles – 9 Cr

Last in the list of key players features Rajshahi Kings' Johnson Charles. The wicketkeeper-batsman has played just one game in the competition where he has scored valuable 55 runs and played a key role in the team's win. Since Tuesday's match will be played at the same venue and the pitch is expected to be a similar one, Charles, who is valued at 9 Cr, might not prove to be a bad purchase for your team.
