GAMES (EDT)

  • Friday, 12:00 p.m: G2 eSports vs. MAD Lions

G2 vs. MAD

We are finally into LEC playoffs, and this is going to be chalk fest, so I advise to play a lot of cash games. The first game is Friday, which includes the best team in the LEC and a top team in G2, who are going against a surprisingly successful MAD. This is a team that had that splice play style but added a little new style for their early game, and they have looked decent throughout the split. This team is not afraid to challenge themselves by trying new drafts that will throw teams off just like Origin. If slept on, this team can be very dangerous. In this particular matchup, I believe MAD can take a game off G2 if they have some draft bait for them, but other than that I do not believe G2 will drop a game. In recent history, G2 has 3-0 about every team in the playoffs, and I will continue with that trend because they are miles ahead of everyone in talent. The only way G2 loses is if they start messing around and MAD is able to capitalize on their greediness.

Prediction: G2 3-0

Bets: N/A

G2 Players to Target: Everyone

FNC vs. OG

The second playoff game will be similar to the first. The reason I say this is because I believe Origins' upside is limited on their coaching, players and

FNC vs. OG

The second playoff game will be similar to the first. The reason I say this is because I believe Origins' upside is limited on their coaching, players and play style, as they are the type of team to do things by the book. I am not saying that they are a bad team, but they are a team that beats everyone besides G2 and Fnatic. Fnatic and G2 have a similar play style, as they are very good at team fighting, keeping the gold lead even behind in kills, and they love to cheese during draft phase, which makes them so versatile. If you really think Origin has a chance of winning, the only way I see them doing that is to keep bwipo out of team fights and get him behind. We have seen other teams do this and it works, but the fact that Bwipo has played well weakside this split compared to other splits is making me more confident in Fnatic.

Prediction: FNC 3-1

Bets: N/A

Fnatic Players to Target: Bwipo (TOP $6000), Rekkles (ADC $7600), Hylissang (SUP $5400)

STACKS TO CONSIDER

G2/FNC; get creative in GPPs but don't get cute in cash.
