Coming into the season, this game had the look of a prime heavyweight matchup. However, Denver has only beaten the two cupcake opponents on its schedule while giving up 26 points per game in losses to the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers. The Denver defense has not played up to preseason expectations.
Meanwhile, the Eagles continue to win close games each week. Despite having a challenging schedule, Philly is 4-0 while not winning any game by more than seven points.

Broncos at Eagles Prediction
Even though the Eagles are averaging 27 points per game, the offense is not without questions. The once elite Eagles' offensive line is no longer bullying opponents on every play. Defenses are loading the box with defenders, and RB Saquon Barkley has not looked elite. Then, QB Jalen Hurts is not loosening up defenses by throwing downfield. Still, with a perfect record, the team has little motivation to change what's been working. Expect the Eagles to lean run-heavy, but they should have more success than they had earlier in the season. It's unlikely that Philly lights up the scoreboard, but the Denver defense is vulnerable to the run, so Barkley could run for over 100 yards.
Last week, Broncos QB Bo Nix had his best game of the season, but it was against the toothless defense of the Cincinnati Bengals. So far this season, Nix has been inconsistent and often makes mistakes. Conversely, the rushing attack with J.K. Dobbins has been effective, but the coaching staff has not committed to running the ball while games are close. Facing the Eagles is not a positive matchup, but Philly has issues at their second cornerback and at safety. That should allow either WRs Marvin Mims or Troy Franklin to make a big play or two. Still, Nix could easily make a big mistake at the wrong time.
Although the Eagles should win this game at home, they will likely follow their typical script and squeak out the win.
