Fantasy football managers often overreact to one-week performances, opening the door for sharp trades. This is the time to spot buy-low, sell-high fantasy football opportunities before values shift. Whether it's a slow start, injury recovery or unsustainable production, managers can use the trade market to get ahead. Stay on top of player roles with RotoWire's weekly projections as you evaluate potential deals.

Buy Candidates

Quarterback

Justin Herbert

Herbert has been excellent this year, currently sitting at QB8. Despite strong production, many still question his ability to deliver consistently. His dud last week against the Giants was a trap-game scenario that shouldn't define him. If you have quarterback concerns, Herbert is the perfect buy candidate now.

Running Back

Derrick Henry

Henry exploded in Week 1 but has since gone quiet. Many managers fear age-related decline, especially with his three-game slump. However, the eventual return of fullback Patrick Ricard (calf) will help Henry find his rhythm again. Defenses must play the Ravens very differently when the team uses two tight ends and a fullback; that personnel grouping unlocked the running back last year. Buy Henry now before he returns to his late-2024 dominance.

Wide Receiver

Chris Godwin

Godwin made his 2025 debut with 10 targets but little production. He's likely just shaking off rust after last year's ankle injury. His chemistry with Baker Mayfield remains intact, and volume is coming. Buy Godwin now before the breakout performance arrives.

Tight End

Sam LaPorta

Tight End

Sam LaPorta

LaPorta hasn't topped 40 yards since Week 1, which is worrying, but his recent matchups against Baltimore and Cleveland made tight end production nearly impossible. Detroit's upcoming schedule should lead to more high-scoring opportunities. LaPorta's reliable floor and upside make him a smart buy at tight end.

Sell Candidates

Quarterback

Kyler Murray

Murray's best game of the season came last week in primetime, and the late comeback inflated his fantasy total despite poor overall play. Some managers still believe he's better than he is, so sell Murray now to a QB-needy team while the window is open.

Running Back

Chuba Hubbard

Hubbard's fast start has faded and reality is beginning to catch up. After averaging 18 PPR points in the first two games, he hasn't topped 10 points since Carolina lost two starting interior linemen. His efficiency has dropped back toward 2023 levels, with just 4.1 yards per carry and broken tackle and yards after contact rates sitting below the 14th percentile. Hubbard is still perceived as a valuable asset, but this looks like the best time to sell high before his numbers slide further.

Wide Receiver

Keenan Allen

Allen still produces but is no longer the top option in L.A. At 33, his durability is a major concern, averaging four missed games annually since 30. Despite being the WR8, his production isn't sustainable over the long haul. Sell Allen while his value is peaking.

Tight End

Dallas Goedert

Goedert sits at TE5 despite limited involvement in the passing game. His value has come from three touchdowns in the last two weeks, and at nearly 31 with a history of missed games, regression looms large. Sell Goedert now while he still carries top-tier appeal.

Conclusion

Savvy managers know when to strike in the trade market, moving off players before decline and acquiring stars on the rise. This week's buy/sell fantasy football window includes names that could define your season down the stretch. Stay ahead of the curve by checking updated NFL depth charts before finalizing trades.
