Pity the fans of the Kansas City Chiefs and all they have endured.
They've had their football seasons prolonged to February in five out of the past six years. Their Chiefs have only three Super Bowl titles over that time frame, and this season their beloved team started 0-2.
Their team is tied for last place in the AFC West, but Chiefs fans have come out on top in a study conducted by RotoWire. Your source for the latest fantasy football news and top-notch analysis developed an index to determine which fan base across the NFL is the most stressed.
Most Stressed NFL Fans
Our index used data from Stathead.com on close games, overtime contests, turnovers, blown leads and injuries. It also includes Google search data on the term "Why do (enter your team's name here) suck?"
A team's record doesn't matter. It's more about how their team got to their current outcome that's more important. We can't speak to whether NFL betting on any of these teams adds any extra stress. Here are the rankings:

It might be hard to believe – at least among fans of 31 other teams – that our methodology came up with this answer, but here we are.
I'm a Cincinnati Bengals season-ticket holder, but I'd like to think that fact is not clouding my judgement when I study these rankings. Still, there are several teams that I'd put over the Chiefs as currently the most stressed.
Candidates For Most Stressed NFL Fans
How about them Dallas Cowboys? Their season got turned upside down before it began when owner Jerry Jones traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. And those Packers visit Jerry World this week on Sunday Night Football. The most recent Cowboys Super Bowl win came when the Internet was just a fad. You don't think they bring bottles of Mylanta to their tailgate parties? Dallas might see its Super Bowl odds fade in the distance by losing this one.
How about the Baltimore Ravens? They're 1-2, with their two losses to the teams that might play in the Super Bowl. Then again, the Ravens probably should be 3-0 if not for an epic meltdown in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills and a couple of late fumbles by Derrick Henry. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens should be fine, and they should make the playoffs again this season, but that will only ratchet the stress up a couple levels until they can finally advance to a Super Bowl.
What about Bills fans? Yeah, they got to celebrate a big win over the Ravens, but it didn't look good for them in the third quarter or most of the fourth. And if not for a late roughing the kicker penalty by Miami, the Bills could have lost at home to one of the worst teams in recent history. You can't ease that amount of stress simply by slamming yourself onto a folding table, even if NFL betting sites list your team among the Super Bowl favorites.
And, yes, I must include my Bengals in this. True, the Week 1 win at Cleveland looks better now thanks to Green Bay choking next to Lake Erie, but did you see the Jacksonville game? Cincinnati fans might not be searching why the Bengals suck because we've been too busy researching turf toe.
Seriously, what do Chiefs fans have to stress over? When might Andy Reid step down? When will Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift get married? Will their barbecue turn out dry?
Remember kids, when you're watching your favorite team choke or get blown out on any given Sunday, there's going to be a team whose fanbase has it worse than you do – and that fanbase resides in Kansas City.
