Weekly Rankings: Week 3 Value Meter

This article is part of our Weekly Rankings series.

Sunday Update Complete

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Player X vs. Player Y?" without any other mitigating factors. Of course, I welcome debate - if you think I'm wrong, let me know. But please check out the rankings first before asking your start/sit question. This truly reflects my opinion in my leagues.

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Starting after Week 1, the rankings for the subsequent week will first post on Tuesday nights, roughly around 10:00 pm ET. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on

Quarterbacks

1.*Lamar Jackson BAL vs. KC
Note: The lack of opposition from the Texans limited Jackson's output - that shouldn't be a problem on Monday night this week against the Chiefs.
2.*Russell Wilson SEA vs. DAL
Note: What a remarkable start for Wilson - five touchdowns on Sunday against the Pats of all teams, against one interception on a ball that bounced off his receiver's hands.
3.*Dak Prescott DAL at SEA
Note: Prescott briefly left after a big hit, but later returned as part of a massive fantasy day, as he threw for one touchdown and ran for three more.
4.*Kyler Murray ARZ vs. DET
Note: Murray had another monster game on the ground and now gets to face a Lions' secondary that doesn't appear to be up to the task.
5.Patrick Mahomes KC at BAL
6.*Cam Newton NE vs. LV
Note: Added 397 passing yards in the loss to the Seahawks in addition to his second week in a row of two rushing touchdowns.
7.*Josh Allen BUF vs. LAR
Note: Allen had a stunning game against the Dolphins, throwing for 417 yards and four touchdowns.
8.Aaron Rodgers GB at NO
9.*Ben Roethlisberger PIT vs. HOU
Note: Roethlisberger showed both his upside and downside on Sunday - he threw a beautiful deep ball to Chase Claypool for one of his two touchdowns, and also threw an awful interception that kept the Broncos in the game in the second half.
10.*Matt Ryan ATL vs. CHI
Note: Just like last season, every game seems like a carnival game for Ryan and the Falcons, on both offense and defense. ***Julio Jones will be INACTIVE.***
11.*Ryan Tannehill TEN at MIN
Note: Very efficient against the Jaguars, throwing four touchdown passes in only 24 passing attempts.
12.*Gardner Minshew JAC vs. MIA
Note: The two interceptions were costly and not particularly well-thrown, but in-between Minshew and the Jaguars looked dynamic on offense. Moved down two slots to account for D.J. Chark's absence.
13.Tom Brady TB at DEN
14.*Deshaun Watson HOU at PIT
Note: Watson missed a couple of key throws, but he also struggled to find time against the Ravens' pass rush. A road game against the Steelers isn't likely to cure that issue.
15.*Mitchell Trubisky CHI at ATL
Note: Trubisky was productive in the first half and awful in the second half - his cumulative result was only 190 passing yards against the Bears, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Falcons just lost CB A.J. Terrell, who was on the field for 82 snaps last week. This was already a good matchup, and it just got better.
16.*Drew Brees NO vs. GB
Note: Brees added yards in garbage time to make up for an otherwise disappointing game - but garbage time counts just as much as anything else for our purposes.
17.*Matthew Stafford DET at ARI
Note: It's possible that Stafford could get Kenny Golladay back this week.
18.Baker Mayfield CLE vs. WAS
19.*Carson Wentz PHI vs. CIN
Note: Wentz's struggles continued against the Rams - this time he couldn't blame the OL as much, as he wasn't sacked.
20.*Joe Burrow CIN at PHI
Note: The Bengals' offensive line issues are forcing Burrow to either check down or hurry his downfield throws. Many of his incompletions towards A.J. Green were a function of him being off-target in the face of pressure.
21.*Justin Herbert LAC vs. CAR
Note: Very nice surprise debut against the Chiefs, throwing for 311 yards and a touchdown along with a rushing touchdown, though his late interception was costly. Herbert will likely start this week, as Taylor is considered 'week-to-week.' Herbert will start - Taylor is recovering from a punctured lung.
22.Philip Rivers IND vs. NYJ
23.*Ryan Fitzpatrick MIA at JAX
Note: Fitzpatrick was much better in a tough matchup against the Bills, throwing for 328 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
24.*Derek Carr LV at NE
Note: Rose to the moment on Monday night, especially on third downs. Carr has another tough challenge this week against the Pats, on the road.
25.Jared Goff LA at BUF
26.*Nick Mullens SF at NYG
Note: Played the second half in relief of the injured Jimmy Garoppolo - he completed 8 of 11 passes for 71 yards and an interception, as the Niners were already comfortably in front of the Jets. Mullens is likely to start - Jimmy G. did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.
27.Teddy Bridgewater CAR at LAC
28.*Kirk Cousins MIN vs. TEN
Note: Cousins looked lost against the Colts. If only they had a strong wide receiver opposite Adam Thielen.
29.Daniel Jones NYG vs. SF
30.Dwayne Haskins WAS at CLE
31.*Jeff Driskel DEN vs. TB
Note: Starting with Drew Lock out 2-to-6 weeks - the Broncos signed Blake Bortles to be his backup. Driskel was credible in relief of Lock against the Steelers, throwing for 256 yards and two touchdowns, along with an interception that was the result of a pass deflecting off of Courtland Sutton's hands.
32.*Sam Darnold NYJ at IND
Note: Started the game without Jamison Crowder and Denzel Mims due to hamstring injuries, then lost Breshad Perriman and Chris Hogan during the game.
33.Taysom Hill NO vs. GB
34.*Jimmy Garoppolo SF at NYG
Note: Garoppolo suffered a high-ankle sprain in the win over the Jets. According to coach Kyle Shanahan, he still has a chance to play this week, but I'm ranking him as if he won't play. Did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and is unlikely to play.
35.*Tyrod Taylor LAC vs. CAR
Note: The injury that kept Taylor out in Week 2 is being categorized as an adverse reaction to a pregame injection to address a lingering rib injury, and he's now being classified as week-to-week. It turns out the 'adverse reaction' was a punctured lung. Yikes.
36.*Drew Lock DEN vs. TB
Note: Lock suffered a rotator cuff / labral issue in his right shoulder in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Steelers, and will be out a minimum of two weeks and possibly up to six weeks. Lock will not go on IR, as the Broncos think that there's a chance he'll return in less than three weeks.

Running Backs

1.*Alvin Kamara NO vs. GB
Note: Kamara had a huge day Monday, rushing for two touchdowns and catching nine passes for 95 yards.
2.Ezekiel Elliott DAL at SEA
3.*Miles Sanders PHI vs. CIN
Note: Sanders gave away a fumble, but otherwise was a bright spot, with a combined 131 yards and a touchdown.
4.Derrick Henry TEN at MIN
5.*Jonathan Taylor IND vs. NYJ
Note: Taylor wasn't especially efficient against the Vikings, but you have to be encouraged with the workload if you have him rostered.
6.*Aaron Jones GB at NO
Note: Touchdowns are about to regress, any moment now. In all seriousness, this is a tough matchup against the Saints.
7.Austin Ekeler LAC vs. CAR
8.Kenyan Drake ARZ vs. DET
9.Nick Chubb CLE vs. WAS
10.Dalvin Cook MIN vs. TEN
11.Joe Mixon CIN at PHI
12.Chris Carson SEA vs. DAL
13.*Clyde Edwards-Helaire KC at BAL
Note: Edwards-Helaire didn't have a big game, but he allayed fears about not being involved in the passing game by catching six of eight targets for 32 yards.
14.*James Conner PIT vs. HOU
Note: Re-established as the dominant back after last week's win over the Broncos.
15.James Robinson JAC vs. MIA
16.*Devin Singletary BUF vs. LAR
Note: Zack Moss has missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday. ***Moss is out this week.***
17.*Josh Jacobs LV at NE
Note: I wouldn't be too concerned about Jalen Richard stealing a rushing touchdown - it was on a 3rd-and-10 play from 20 yards out. Jacobs was still the workhorse back for the Raiders against a tough opponent. (Hip) Sat out practice Wednesday and wasn't present at the start of Thursday's practice. ***Returned to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable. Sunday report from Adam Schefter - likely to play.***
18.*Jerick McKinnon SF at NYG
Note: McKinnon will likely get a greater share of the workload this week with both Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman doubtful. But don't be surprised if it's still a timeshare with Jeff Wilson and maybe even JaMycal Hasty, who is still on the Niners' practice squad.
19.Mark Ingram BAL vs. KC
20.Kareem Hunt CLE vs. WAS
21.*David Montgomery CHI at ATL
Note: Looked really good, especially on the receiving touchdown. It was noteworthy that the TD reception came on a 3rd-and-6 - a clear passing down.
22.*Leonard Fournette TB at DEN
Note: After Fournette's big breakout in Week 2, you have to figure he's taking over going forward.
23.David Johnson HOU at PIT
24.Melvin Gordon DEN vs. TB
25.*Darrell Henderson LA at BUF
Note: Looked great in the win over the Eagles, with 12 carries for 81 yards and two catches for 40 yards. Akers isn't healing as quickly as hoped for, and Brown sat out practice Wednesday. Brown will still probably be able to play this week, but Akers looks like a no-go. ***Akers has been ruled out, Brown will play.***
26.Todd Gurley ATL vs. CHI
27.*Mike Davis CAR at LAC
Note: Davis caught all eight targets against the Bucs, most after CMC's injury, which will keep him out four-to-six weeks. The likes of Curtis Samuel, Trenton Cannon and Reggie Bonnafon could also get work, but Davis should be the main guy.
28.*Joshua Kelley LAC vs. CAR
Note: Had a bigger workload than Austin Ekeler (25 touches compared to 20 for Ekeler), totaling over 100 combined yards.
29.*Antonio Gibson WAS at CLE
Note: Scored his first NFL touchdown on an 11-yard run. He and McKissic were the primary backs - though it's a little worrying that Peyton Barber's one carry was a fourth down conversion. That might not bode well for future goal line carries.
30.*Myles Gaskin MIA at JAX
Note: Seven carries and seven targets, amounting in six catches for 36 yards. The only downside is that Gaskin is unlikely to get much in the way of goal line carries.
31.Tarik Cohen CHI at ATL
32.*J.K. Dobbins BAL vs. KC
Note: Low usage in Week 2 after getting goal line carries in Week 1. It'll be all hands on deck most likely this week against the Chiefs.
33.*D'Andre Swift DET at ARI
Note: Had five targets and held on to each of them in the loss to the Packers, but this is a clear three-headed monster right now.
34.*Jordan Howard MIA at JAX
Note: Howard's role is rapidly developing into being only a short-yardage back.
35.Frank Gore NYJ at IND
36.*Nyheim Hines IND vs. NYJ
Note: Hines shockingly played only nine snaps, but it's noteworthy that the Colts were comfortably ahead for most of the game.
37.*Dion Lewis NYG vs. SF
Note: Lewis carried the load for the Giants after Saquon Barkley's injury, but keep in mind that they've since signed Devonta Freeman and had Wayne Gallman inactive last week, which is unlikely to happen going forward.
38.*Latavius Murray NO vs. GB
Note: Murray only had five touches against the Raiders after carrying the ball 15 times the week before - probably a function of the Saints falling behind in the third quarter.
39.*Jeff Wilson SF at NYG
Note: Wilson could receive a good chunk of the carries this week against the Giants, lining up behind Jerick McKinnon.
40.*Malcolm Brown LA at BUF
Note: Brown suffered a broken left pinkie finger in the win over the Eagles, but stayed in the game. Still, he got fewer carries than Darrell Henderson who showed really well in the second half. Brown could still play despite having surgery on the finger on Monday. Did not practice Wednesday.
41.Adrian Peterson DET at ARI
42.Sony Michel NE vs. LV
43.*Benny Snell PIT vs. HOU
Note: Snell could have had a chance to play more last week, but Conner played well, and Snell both missed a chip block that led to a sack and then fumbled in the fourth quarter.
44.*Ronald Jones TB at DEN
Note: Had an early touchdown but later gave carries to Leonard Fournette and then was buried entirely after losing a fumble on an exchange with Brady.
45.*Rex Burkhead NE vs. LV
Note: Had four catches and led the New England backs in snaps and touches, but with Cam Newton getting all the goal line carries, it's hard to have too much upside for any Patriots back.
46.Boston Scott PHI vs. CIN
47.Carlos Hyde SEA vs. DAL
48.Jamaal Williams GB at NO
49.Chris Thompson JAC vs. MIA
50.J.D. McKissic WAS at CLE
51.*Kerryon Johnson DET at ARI
Note: Scored a touchdown on the first series, and ended up with eight carries for 32 yards.
52.Matt Breida MIA at JAX
53.Giovani Bernard CIN at PHI
54.*Devonta Freeman NYG vs. SF
Note: Freeman reportedly has agreed to a deal with the Giants but is waiting pending COVID-19 testing.
55.Alexander Mattison MIN vs. TEN
56.Tony Pollard DAL at SEA
57.*LeSean McCoy TB at DEN
Note: McCoy was more active in Week 2, catching five of seven targets for 26 yards, though he also dropped an easy touchdown pass.
58.Chase Edmonds ARZ vs. DET
59.*Darrel Williams KC at BAL
Note: Suffered an ankle injury in the win over the Chargers. ***Full practice Friday.***
60.*Peyton Barber WAS at CLE
Note: Had just one offensive snap last week, converting a fourth down carry.
61.*JaMycal Hasty SF at NYG
Note: There's a good possibility that Hasty will be activated from the practice squad this week to give the Niners a third option at running back. ***Officially activated from the practice squad.***
62.Royce Freeman DEN vs. TB
63.*Wayne Gallman NYG vs. SF
Note: Gallman was a healthy scratch last week, but with Barkley out for the season he'll probably be in the mix, even if Devonta Freeman can ramp up quickly enough to be active this week.
64.*Corey Clement PHI vs. CIN
Note: Sat out practice Wednesday with an illness.
65.*Darwin Thompson KC at BAL
Note: Thompson stepped up into Darrel Williams's role after Williams left with an ankle injury, carrying the ball four times for 21 yards.
66.Devontae Booker LV at NE
67.Brian Hill ATL vs. CHI
68.AJ Dillon GB at NO
69.*Kalen Ballage NYJ at IND
Note: (Ribs) Limited participant in practice so far this week. ***Full practice Friday, taken off the injury list.***
70.*Duke Johnson HOU at PIT
Note: (Ankle) Inactive last week. Limited in Wednesday's practice. ***Limited in practice all three days this week, listed as questionable. Sunday report from Ian Rapoport that he's unlikely to play.***
71.*La'Mical Perine NYJ at IND
Note: (Ankle) Limited in practice so far this week.
72.*Darrynton Evans TEN at MIN
73.*Justin Jackson LAC vs. CAR
Note: (Quad) Hasn't practiced yet this week. ***Listed as doubtful.***
74.*Phillip Lindsay DEN vs. TB
Note: Still out with a turf toe injury.
75.*Zack Moss BUF vs. LAR
Note: (Toe) Not practicing Wednesday and Thursday. ***Ruled out for Week 3.***
76.*James White NE vs. LV
Note: Tragically lost his father in a car accident Sunday and was scratched for the game Sunday night. Away from the team on Wednesday and Thursday night.
77.*Cam Akers LA at BUF
Note: Akers suffered separated rib cartilage in the first quarter of the win over the Eagles and his availability for Week 3 is in question. Coming along slower than hoped for - I wouldn't expect him to play this week. ***Ruled out for Week 3.***
78.*Raheem Mostert SF at NYG
Note: Scored on the first play from scrimmage and had another long run called back due to a holding penalty, but then left at halftime with a sprained MCL. He's supposed to avoid a lengthy absence. Held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday.
79.*Tevin Coleman SF at NYG
Note: Doubtful with a knee injury suffered late in the second half of the Niners win over the Jets. In fact, he's expected to miss 'multiple weeks'. ***Officially placed on IR, confirming at least a three-week absence.***
80.*Le'Veon Bell NYJ at IND
Note: ***(Hamstring) On IR for at least two more weeks.***
81.*Christian McCaffrey CAR at LAC
Note: McCaffrey suffered a high-ankle sprain and will be out four-to-six weeks.
82.*Saquon Barkley NYG vs. SF
Note: Barkley suffered a torn ACL and has already been placed on injured reserve by the Giants.

Wide Receivers

1.DeAndre Hopkins ARZ vs. DET
2.Mike Evans TB at DEN
3.DK Metcalf SEA vs. DAL
4.Keenan Allen LAC vs. CAR
5.Amari Cooper DAL at SEA
6.Tyler Lockett SEA vs. DAL
7.*Calvin Ridley ATL vs. CHI
Note: ***Ridley is up here on merit, and not just because Julio Jones is a game-time decision.***
8.Terry McLaurin WAS at CLE
9.*Chris Godwin TB at DEN
Note: Cleared from the concussion protocol and should play this week.
10.Tyreek Hill KC at BAL
11.Adam Thielen MIN vs. TEN
12.Odell Beckham CLE vs. WAS
13.D.J. Moore CAR at LAC
14.Allen Robinson CHI at ATL
15.Marquise Brown BAL vs. KC
16.Robert Woods LA at BUF
17.*Diontae Johnson PIT vs. HOU
Note: Dealing with a lingering toe injury, but it hasn't seemed to slow him down on the field.
18.Cooper Kupp LA at BUF
19.*Julian Edelman NE vs. LV
Note: Went for a career-high 179 receiving yards. (Knee/Groin) Limited at practice so far this week. ***Officially listed as questionable, as is Harry - but Edelman frequently still plays when questionable.***
20.*JuJu Smith-Schuster PIT vs. HOU
Note: ***(Knee) Full practice Friday and is cleared to go.***
21.CeeDee Lamb DAL at SEA
22.*Russell Gage ATL vs. CHI
Note: ***Julio Jones is a game-time decision. JONES INACTIVE***
23.*Stefon Diggs BUF vs. LAR
Note: ***I moved Diggs down a few slots on Sunday - I'm worried about him facing Jalen Ramsey.***
24.*John Brown BUF vs. LAR
Note: (Foot) Limited practice Thursday. ***Removed from the injury list on Friday.***
25.Tyler Boyd CIN at PHI
26.Michael Gallup DAL at SEA
27.A.J. Green CIN at PHI
28.Marvin Jones DET at ARI
29.Corey Davis TEN at MIN
30.*Laviska Shenault JAC vs. MIA
Note: ***Workload increases with D.J. Chark ruled out.***
31.Darius Slayton NYG vs. SF
32.DeSean Jackson PHI vs. CIN
33.*DeVante Parker MIA at JAX
Note: (Hamstring) Limited participant in the Dolphins' estimated practice on Monday and Tuesday - the Dolphins play Thursday against the Jags.
34.*Keelan Cole JAC vs. MIA
Note: ***Moved up with D.J. Chark ruled out.***
35.Robby Anderson CAR at LAC
36.Marquez Valdes-Scantling GB at NO
37.*T.Y. Hilton IND vs. NYJ
Note: I wanted to make a pun on Hilton's name but instead decided to drop it.
38.*Kenny Golladay DET at ARI
Note: (Hamstring) The Lions expect that Golladay will be able to return this week, but we'll have to wait and see the practice reports first. If he has full practices, he'll be in my top 20. Limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, which is a bit of an upgrade. ***Limited practice all week, and on Friday he acknowledged that he isn't at 100 percent strength. He'll be a near game-time decision, playing in the late afternoon window. An Ian Rapoport update suggested he will play.***
39.*N'Keal Harry NE vs. LV
Note: Played through his shoulder issue and a potential concussion after a nasty hit early in the game to catch eight passes in the loss to the Seahawks. Limited in practice with a sore ankle, but he's expected to play. ***Officially questionable, but is expected to play.***
40.*Emmanuel Sanders NO vs. GB
Note: Had a bad drop early on in the game and another misfire, then didn't see a target until the final drive of the game.
41.*Will Fuller HOU at PIT
Note: Left the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and later returned, but was not targeted. Not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
42.*Preston Williams MIA at JAX
Note: Williams had a really bad drop that helped turn the tide of the loss to the Bills - it was a contested ball at the goal line, but catchable and would have likely been a touchdown on fourth down.
43.*Larry Fitzgerald ARZ vs. DET
Note: Could be more involved in the passing game this week if Kirk can't play or is limited.
44.*Brandin Cooks HOU at PIT
Note: (Quad) Limited reps in practice Wednesday and Thursday. ***Full practice Friday.***
45.Anthony Miller CHI at ATL
46.Jarvis Landry CLE vs. WAS
47.Mike Williams LAC vs. CAR
48.*Tre'Quan Smith NO vs. GB
Note: Was a lot more active than Emmanuel Sanders on Monday night.
49.*KJ Hamler DEN vs. TB
Note: Hamler will be the Broncos' third receiver now that Courtland Sutton is out for the year. ***Could be the top option if Jerry Jeudy doesn't go, along with Tim Patrick and maybe DaeSean Hamilton.***
50.*Chase Claypool PIT vs. HOU
Note: Caught a pretty long ball down the sideline for a long touchdown, but volume will be a problem.
51.*Sammy Watkins KC at BAL
Note: Left with a head injury in the comeback win over the Chargers. In the concussion protocol, though coach Andy Reid suggested it's Watkins' neck that's the bigger concern. ***Watkins was limited in practice Friday, but remains in the protocol, though this is a good sign of progress. Full practice Saturday - listed as questionable. He's still officially in the concussion protocol, but he's on track to emerge from it in time for Monday's game.***
52.*Bryan Edwards LV at NE
Note: ***Could get a few more targets with Henry Ruggs out this week.***
53.Trent Taylor SF at NYG
54.James Washington PIT vs. HOU
55.Adam Humphries TEN at MIN
56.Tee Higgins CIN at PHI
57.*Michael Pittman IND vs. NYJ
Note: Returned to action last week and now will be in a more important role with Parris Campbell out with a knee injury.
58.Allen Lazard GB at NO
59.*Jerry Jeudy DEN vs. TB
Note: ***(Ribs) Full practice Friday, but yet he's still a game-time decision in the late afternoon game window. The national reporters (Rapoport, Schefter) suggest he'll play.***
60.Brandon Aiyuk SF at NYG
61.Van Jefferson LA at BUF
62.*Zach Pascal IND vs. NYJ
Note: Pascal will be the leading slot receiver with Parris Campbell out, which could be especially important with Philip Rivers as the passer.
63.Hunter Renfrow LV at NE
64.*Steven Sims WAS at CLE
Note: (Toe) Limited on Thursday's injury report. ***Full practice Friday, listed as questionable.***
65.Kendrick Bourne SF at NYG
66.*Scotty Miller TB at DEN
Note: Dropped what looked to be a sure touchdown and was barely heard from again, ceding targets to Justin Watson. (Hip/Groin) Limited in practice. ***Cleared from the injured list.***
67.Mike Thomas CIN at PHI
68.*Chris Conley JAC vs. MIA
Note: ***Added to the list with Chark out.***
69.*Mecole Hardman KC at BAL
Note: Hardman's snap share jumped up to 65 percent in part due to Sammy Watkins leaving with a head injury. ***Watkins is in the concussion protocol but practiced in a limited fashion Friday.***
70.Tim Patrick DEN vs. TB
71.Justin Jefferson MIN vs. TEN
72.Randall Cobb HOU at PIT
73.*Braxton Berrios NYJ at IND
Note: ***Added to the injury report Friday wit ha hamstring injury and is questionable for Sunday.***
74.Quintez Cephus DET at ARI

Note: ***Could get more work this week with Christian Kirk ruled out.***
79.Darnell Mooney CHI at ATL
80.Damiere Byrd NE vs. LV
81.Willie Snead BAL vs. KC
82.Isaiah Ford MIA at JAX
83.*Curtis Samuel CAR at LAC
Note: Offensive coordinator Joe Brady said that he wants to get Samuel more involved in the offense - that could end up being as a runner, with CMC out.
84.Miles Boykin BAL vs. KC
85.Jakeem Grant MIA at JAX
86.Bisi Johnson MIN vs. TEN
87.Cordarrelle Patterson CHI at ATL
88.*Chris Hogan NYJ at IND
Note: ***(Ribs) Full practice Friday, removed from the injury list.***
89.*Davante Adams GB at NO
Note: Adams suffered a minor hamstring strain against the Lions, and his status for Week 3 against the Saints is uncertain. The Packers play the night game on Sunday. Did not practice Wednesday. Sat out practice again on Thursday, instead working out on the side. ***Officially listed as doubtful for Sunday night.***
90.*Christian Kirk ARZ vs. DET
Note: (Groin) Sitting out practice the last two days, hoping the maintenance will allow him to be more active on Friday. ***Ruled out this week.***
91.*Jamison Crowder NYJ at IND
Note: (Hamstring) Hasn't practiced this week, looking doubtful for Sunday against the Colts. ***Ruled out for this week.***
92.*A.J. Brown TEN at MIN
Note: (Knee) ***Officially ruled out this week. Adam Schefter suggests that he has a 'pretty significant' bone bruise in his knee that hasn't responded well or quickly to treatment.***
93.*Julio Jones ATL vs. CHI
Note: Played through a hamstring issue that earlier had him on the injury report, only to be removed before game-time. It sounds similar to OBJ (different injury) last year. Did not practice Wednesday, and coach Dan Quinn said that the Falcons would have to 'take it all the way through the week' with the injury. Held out of practice again on Thursday. ***Did not practice at all this week and is listed as questionable, but a game-time decision for Sunday. OFFICIALLY INACTIVE***
94.*Alshon Jeffery PHI vs. CIN
Note: (Foot) Had his first practice of the season on Thursday, but was limited. ***Ruled out again this week.***
95.*Henry Ruggs LV at NE
Note: (Knee/Hamstring) Limited in practice. ***Out for Sunday.***
96.*Breshad Perriman NYJ at IND
Note: Perriman sprained an ankle and is week-to-week with the injury. Did not practice on Thursday. ***Officially ruled out this week.***
97.*Sterling Shepard NYG vs. SF
Note: Suffered a turf toe injury against the Bears. Placed on IR by the Giants.
98.*Michael Thomas NO vs. GB
Note: (Ankle) Has an estimated two-to-four week absence timeline. Did not practice Wednesday or Thursday. ***Officially ruled out this week. Moved well in workouts Friday, and could return in Week 4 against the Lions.***
99.*DJ Chark JAC vs. MIA
Note: (Chest) Chark has been a limited participant in practice on Monday and Tuesday - the Jags play on Thursday against the Dolphins. Listed as questionable - limited Monday and Tuesday, but as a 'non--participant' at Wednesday's estimated practice. Doug Marrone said that he thinks '... we're just being careful ...' with Chark. ***The Jags erred on the side of caution and ruled Chark out for Thursday night.***
100.*Deebo Samuel SF at NYG
Note: (Foot) Out at least one more week, maybe more. ***Aiming for a Week 5 return.***
101.*Parris Campbell IND vs. NYJ
Note: Out at least three weeks, probably more, with sprained MCL and PCL's - placed on IR by the Colts.
102.*Jalen Reagor PHI vs. CIN
Note: Suffered a torn UCL in his thumb and will miss several weeks, as this injury requires surgery to repair.
103.*Courtland Sutton DEN vs. TB
Note: Out for the season with a torn ACL.

Tight Ends

1.Travis Kelce KC at BAL
2.Mark Andrews BAL vs. KC
3.*Jonnu Smith TEN at MIN
Note: (Ankle) Sat out practice Wednesday, but fully practiced Thursday.
4.*Noah Fant DEN vs. TB
Note: Targets are only going to increase with Courtland Sutton out.
5.Tyler Higbee LA at BUF
6.*Darren Waller LV at NE
Note: (Knee) Sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday. ***Limited practice Friday, listed as questionable - same trajectory as teammate Josh Jacobs. Sunday Update - Jeremy Fowler of ESPN suggests that Waller will play.***
7.Zach Ertz PHI vs. CIN
8.*Hunter Henry LAC vs. CAR
Note: (Ankle) Full practice Thursday.
9.Mike Gesicki MIA at JAX
10.Dallas Goedert PHI vs. CIN
11.T.J. Hockenson DET at ARI
12.*Jared Cook NO vs. GB
Note: Cook's touchdown reception salvaged an otherwise disappointing game - two catches for 13 yards on five targets.
13.Evan Engram NYG vs. SF
14.Hayden Hurst ATL vs. CHI
15.*Jordan Reed SF at NYG
Note: ***George Kittle has been ruled out again this week, but unfortunately so has Jimmy Garoppolo.***
16.Logan Thomas WAS at CLE
17.Austin Hooper CLE vs. WAS
18.Dalton Schultz DAL at SEA
19.Chris Herndon NYJ at IND
20.Jimmy Graham CHI at ATL
21.*Mo Alie-Cox IND vs. NYJ
Note: Took advantage of the start to net 111 yards on six targets. ***Jack Doyle had a full practice Friday, which could portend him returning to action and taking away targets from Alie-Cox.***
22.*Tyler Eifert JAC vs. MIA
Note: Frequently targeted in the red zone due to his height - his touchdown was a nice high-point ball from Minshew.
23.Jordan Akins HOU at PIT
24.*Drew Sample CIN at PHI
Note: Last year's second-round pick has now been thrust into a starting role with Uzomah out for the season.
25.Eric Ebron PIT vs. HOU
26.*Rob Gronkowski TB at DEN
Note: Only one target - being asked to block a lot more.
27.O.J. Howard TB at DEN
28.Darren Fells HOU at PIT
29.*Jack Doyle IND vs. NYJ
Note: (Knee) Limited practice Wednesday after sitting out Wednesday. ***Full practice Friday, officially listed as questionable.***
30.*Ian Thomas CAR at LAC
Note: No targets at all in the loss to the Bucs.
31.Irv Smith MIN vs. TEN
32.*Ryan Izzo NE vs. LV
Note: Izzo had 70 snaps but only two targets last week.
33.Robert Tonyan GB at NO
34.Harrison Bryant CLE vs. WAS
35.*Greg Olsen SEA vs. DAL
Note: Olsen's drop led to a pick-six for the Pats.
36.Dan Arnold ARZ vs. DET
37.Gerald Everett LA at BUF
38.*Will Dissly SEA vs. DAL
Note: ***(Achilles) Removed from the injury list.***
39.*Dawson Knox BUF vs. LAR
Note: ***Out with a concussion. Tyler Kroft will start in Knox's place.***
40.*C.J. Uzomah CIN at PHI
Note: Out for the season with an Achilles' tendon injury.
41.*George Kittle SF at NYG
Note: (Knee) The Niners said prior to the injury apocalypse that Kittle would probably be ready to play in Week 3, but we'll see if they err on the side of caution in light of all of their injuries on the Met Life turf. Limited practices Wednesday and Thursday - there's a chance that he plays this week, though both he and the team are being careful about not stating anything definitive. ***Ruled out for Week 3.***

Flex (RB/WR/TE)

1.*Alvin Kamara NO vs. GB
Note: Kamara had a huge day Monday, rushing for two touchdowns and catching nine passes for 95 yards.
2.Ezekiel Elliott DAL at SEA
3.DeAndre Hopkins ARZ vs. DET
4.*Miles Sanders PHI vs. CIN
Note: Sanders gave away a fumble, but otherwise was a bright spot, with a combined 131 yards and a touchdown.
5.Mike Evans TB at DEN
6.Derrick Henry TEN at MIN
7.*Jonathan Taylor IND vs. NYJ
Note: Taylor wasn't especially efficient against the Vikings, but you have to be encouraged with the workload if you have him rostered.
8.*Aaron Jones GB at NO
Note: Touchdowns are about to regress, any moment now. In all seriousness, this is a tough matchup against the Saints.
9.DK Metcalf SEA vs. DAL
10.Travis Kelce KC at BAL
11.Kenyan Drake ARZ vs. DET
12.Nick Chubb CLE vs. WAS
13.Amari Cooper DAL at SEA
14.*Calvin Ridley ATL vs. CHI
Note: ***Ridley is up here on merit, and not just because Julio Jones is a game-time decision.***
15.Terry McLaurin WAS at CLE
16.Dalvin Cook MIN vs. TEN
17.Joe Mixon CIN at PHI
18.Chris Carson SEA vs. DAL
19.Keenan Allen LAC vs. CAR
20.Tyler Lockett SEA vs. DAL
21.*Chris Godwin TB at DEN
Note: Cleared from the concussion protocol and should play this week.
22.Tyreek Hill KC at BAL
23.Mark Andrews BAL vs. KC
24.*Darren Waller LV at NE
Note: (Knee) Sat out practice Wednesday and Thursday. ***Limited practice Friday, listed as questionable - same trajectory as teammate Josh Jacobs. Sunday Update - Jeremy Fowler of ESPN suggests that Waller will play.***
25.*James Conner PIT vs. HOU
Note: Re-established as the dominant back after last week's win over the Broncos.
26.*Clyde Edwards-Helaire KC at BAL
Note: Edwards-Helaire didn't have a big game, but he allayed fears about not being involved in the passing game by catching six of eight targets for 32 yards.
27.James Robinson JAC vs. MIA
28.Adam Thielen MIN vs. TEN
29.*Josh Jacobs LV at NE
Note: I wouldn't be too concerned about Jalen Richard stealing a rushing touchdown - it was on a 3rd-and-10 play from 20 yards out. Jacobs was still the workhorse back for the Raiders against a tough opponent. (Hip) Sat out practice Wednesday and wasn't present at the start of Thursday's practice. ***Returned to a limited practice Friday and is listed as questionable. Sunday report from Adam Schefter - likely to play.***
30.Odell Beckham CLE vs. WAS
31.Austin Ekeler LAC vs. CAR
32.*Jonnu Smith TEN at MIN
Note: (Ankle) Sat out practice Wednesday, but fully practiced Thursday.
33.*Noah Fant DEN vs. TB
Note: Targets are only going to increase with Courtland Sutton out.
34.Mark Ingram BAL vs. KC
35.Todd Gurley ATL vs. CHI
36.Allen Robinson CHI at ATL
37.Marquise Brown BAL vs. KC
38.*Jerick McKinnon SF at NYG
Note: McKinnon will likely get a greater share of the workload this week with both Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman doubtful. But don't be surprised if it's still a timeshare with Jeff Wilson and maybe even JaMycal Hasty, who is still on the Niners' practice squad.
39.Kareem Hunt CLE vs. WAS
40.*David Montgomery CHI at ATL
Note: Looked really good, especially on the receiving touchdown. It was noteworthy that the TD reception came on a 3rd-and-6 - a clear passing down.
41.*Leonard Fournette TB at DEN
Note: After Fournette's big breakout in Week 2, you have to figure he's taking over going forward.
42.Melvin Gordon DEN vs. TB
43.David Johnson HOU at PIT
44.*Mike Davis CAR at LAC
Note: Davis caught all eight targets against the Bucs, most after CMC's injury, which will keep him out four-to-six weeks. The likes of Curtis Samuel, Trenton Cannon and Reggie Bonnafon could also get work, but Davis should be the main guy.
45.Robert Woods LA at BUF
46.*JuJu Smith-Schuster PIT vs. HOU
Note: ***(Knee) Full practice Friday and is cleared to go.***
47.Cooper Kupp LA at BUF
48.*Julian Edelman NE vs. LV
Note: Went for a career-high 179 receiving yards. (Knee/Groin) Limited at practice so far this week. ***Officially listed as questionable, as is Harry - but Edelman frequently still plays when questionable.***
49.D.J. Moore CAR at LAC
50.Tyler Boyd CIN at PHI
51.*Darrell Henderson LA at BUF
Note: Looked great in the win over the Eagles, with 12 carries for 81 yards and two catches for 40 yards. Akers isn't healing as quickly as hoped for, and Brown sat out practice Wednesday. Brown will still probably be able to play this week, but Akers looks like a no-go. ***Akers has been ruled out, Brown will play.***
52.*Devin Singletary BUF vs. LAR
Note: Zack Moss has missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday. ***Moss is out this week.***
53.*Diontae Johnson PIT vs. HOU
Note: Dealing with a lingering toe injury, but it hasn't seemed to slow him down on the field.
54.*John Brown BUF vs. LAR
Note: (Foot) Limited practice Thursday. ***Removed from the injury list on Friday.***
55.A.J. Green CIN at PHI
56.Tyler Higbee LA at BUF
57.Zach Ertz PHI vs. CIN
58.*Stefon Diggs BUF vs. LAR
Note: ***I moved Diggs down a few slots on Sunday - I'm worried about him facing Jalen Ramsey.***
59.*Joshua Kelley LAC vs. CAR
Note: Had a bigger workload than Austin Ekeler (25 touches compared to 20 for Ekeler), totaling over 100 combined yards.
60.CeeDee Lamb DAL at SEA
61.Marvin Jones DET at ARI
62.Corey Davis TEN at MIN
63.Michael Gallup DAL at SEA
64.Robby Anderson CAR at LAC
65.*Jordan Howard MIA at JAX
Note: Howard's role is rapidly developing into being only a short-yardage back.
66.*Hunter Henry LAC vs. CAR
Note: (Ankle) Full practice Thursday.
67.Mike Gesicki MIA at JAX
68.Darius Slayton NYG vs. SF
69.*DeVante Parker MIA at JAX
Note: (Hamstring) Limited participant in the Dolphins' estimated practice on Monday and Tuesday - the Dolphins play Thursday against the Jags.
70.Marquez Valdes-Scantling GB at NO
71.*Antonio Gibson WAS at CLE
Note: Scored his first NFL touchdown on an 11-yard run. He and McKissic were the primary backs - though it's a little worrying that Peyton Barber's one carry was a fourth down conversion. That might not bode well for future goal line carries.
72.*Myles Gaskin MIA at JAX
Note: Seven carries and seven targets, amounting in six catches for 36 yards. The only downside is that Gaskin is unlikely to get much in the way of goal line carries.
73.Dallas Goedert PHI vs. CIN
74.T.J. Hockenson DET at ARI
75.*Jared Cook NO vs. GB
Note: Cook's touchdown reception salvaged an otherwise disappointing game - two catches for 13 yards on five targets.
76.*T.Y. Hilton IND vs. NYJ
Note: I wanted to make a pun on Hilton's name but instead decided to drop it.
77.*Russell Gage ATL vs. CHI
Note: ***Julio Jones is a game-time decision. JONES INACTIVE***
78.*N'Keal Harry NE vs. LV
Note: Played through his shoulder issue and a potential concussion after a nasty hit early in the game to catch eight passes in the loss to the Seahawks. Limited in practice with a sore ankle, but he's expected to play. ***Officially questionable, but is expected to play.***
79.*Emmanuel Sanders NO vs. GB
Note: Had a bad drop early on in the game and another misfire, then didn't see a target until the final drive of the game.
80.*J.K. Dobbins BAL vs. KC
Note: Low usage in Week 2 after getting goal line carries in Week 1. It'll be all hands on deck most likely this week against the Chiefs.
81.*D'Andre Swift DET at ARI
Note: Had five targets and held on to each of them in the loss to the Packers, but this is a clear three-headed monster right now.
82.Frank Gore NYJ at IND
83.*Preston Williams MIA at JAX
Note: Williams had a really bad drop that helped turn the tide of the loss to the Bills - it was a contested ball at the goal line, but catchable and would have likely been a touchdown on fourth down.
84.Anthony Miller CHI at ATL
85.Jarvis Landry CLE vs. WAS
86.*Jerry Jeudy DEN vs. TB
Note: ***(Ribs) Full practice Friday, but yet he's still a game-time decision in the late afternoon game window. The national reporters (Rapoport, Schefter) suggest he'll play.***
87.*Davante Adams GB at NO
Note: Adams suffered a minor hamstring strain against the Lions, and his status for Week 3 against the Saints is uncertain. The Packers play the night game on Sunday. Did not practice Wednesday. Sat out practice again on Thursday, instead working out on the side. ***Officially listed as doubtful for Sunday night.***

Kickers

1.Justin Tucker BAL vs. KC
2.*Harrison Butker KC at BAL
Note: What a stud. Two 58-yarders in the win over the Chargers.
3.Greg Zuerlein DAL at SEA
4.Wil Lutz NO vs. GB
5.Robbie Gould SF at NYG
6.*Younghoe Koo ATL vs. CHI
Note: Made all four field goal attempts - that was the problem, as twice the Falcons had to settle for field goals from in close.
7.Jason Myers SEA vs. DAL
8.Michael Badgley LAC vs. CAR
9.Zane Gonzalez ARZ vs. DET
10.Chris Boswell PIT vs. HOU
11.Mason Crosby GB at NO
12.Matt Prater DET at ARI
13.Jake Elliott PHI vs. CIN
14.Rodrigo Blankenship IND vs. NYJ
15.Ryan Succop TB at DEN
16.Daniel Carlson LV at NE
17.Joey Slye CAR at LAC
18.Nick Folk NE vs. LV
19.*Stephen Gostkowski TEN at MIN
Note: Missed one extra point attempt, but also drilled a 51-yard kick before halftime and a 49-yard kick for the final margin.
20.Brandon McManus DEN vs. TB
21.Sam Sloman LA at BUF
22.Ka'imi Fairbairn HOU at PIT
23.Tyler Bass BUF vs. LAR
24.Jason Sanders MIA at JAX
25.Cairo Santos CHI at ATL
26.*Brandon Wright JAC vs. MIA
Note: Replacing Josh Lambo for at least this week.
27.Cody Parkey CLE vs. WAS
28.Randy Bullock CIN at PHI
29.Dustin Hopkins WAS at CLE
30.Graham Gano NYG vs. SF
31.Dan Bailey MIN vs. TEN
32.Sam Ficken NYJ at IND
33.*Josh Lambo JAC vs. MIA
Note: Limited Tuesday with a left hip issue. Out for Thursday night and likely to go on IR - this could be the three-week version, however.

Defenses

1.Pittsburgh Steelers vs. HOU
2.*San Francisco 49ers at NYG
Note: Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas are out for the season with torn ACL's, but the Niners will probably still roll this week. But against tougher competition it's going to be a problem.
3.*Los Angeles Chargers vs. CAR
Note: First team to face the Panthers without having to gameplan for Christian McCaffrey.
4.*Indianapolis Colts vs. NYJ
Note: Apparently Minnesota is the better target to stream defenses against than Jacksonville - who knew? We know now, and the Colts get the Jets this week.
5.Cleveland Browns vs. WAS
6.*Philadelphia Eagles vs. CIN
Note: This might be the first game where both teams agree to play without offensive lines.
7.Tennessee Titans at MIN
8.Tampa Bay Buccaneers at DEN
9.New England Patriots vs. LV
10.Buffalo Bills vs. LAR
11.New Orleans Saints vs. GB
12.Los Angeles Rams at BUF
13.Washington Football Team at CLE
14.*Seattle Seahawks vs. DAL
Note: Move the Seahawks down a few spots if Tyron Smith (neck) returns for the Cowboys. Otherwise, the Seahawks are a sneaky candidate to get some sacks.
15.Atlanta Falcons vs. CHI
16.Baltimore Ravens vs. KC
17.Cincinnati Bengals at PHI
18.Kansas City Chiefs at BAL
19.Green Bay Packers at NO
20.Las Vegas Raiders at NE
21.Houston Texans at PIT
22.New York Jets at IND
23.New York Giants vs. SF
24.Denver Broncos vs. TB
25.Chicago Bears at ATL
26.Arizona Cardinals vs. DET
27.Jacksonville Jaguars vs. MIA
28.Detroit Lions at ARI
29.*Miami Dolphins at JAX
Note: CB Byron Jones (Groin/Achilles) ruled out for Thursday night.
30.*Dallas Cowboys at SEA
Note: CB Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring) has been placed on IR - the Cowboys are starting a rookie against Tyler Lockett, should be fine.
31.Carolina Panthers at LAC
32.Minnesota Vikings vs. TEN
