This Week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Following Pete Dye's Heritage track with another Dye course might raise some noise from the players. The 7,425-yard, par-72 TPC Louisiana featuring Dye's tight fairways and small greens has other Dye trademarks. While the Heritage was somewhat short, TPC Louisiana is long.

The course was built out of a swamp, as was Dye's TPC-Sawgrass (Players Stadium). It's flat with 103 punitive bunkers, 60 of which are pot bunkers and one of which is 150 yards. Added are several waste bunkers in the surrounding course's three sides. The small greens are excellent and not extremely fast.

Amateur phenom Tian Lang Guan is in the field using a sponsor's exemption. His short game and deadly putting at the Masters set high expectations. He will receive a strong New Orleans welcome and plenty of TV coverage.

NEEDS: Driving accuracy is very important, take advantage of par-5s, strong iron play, 150 yards out as well as close to greens; scrambling is as important as putting. In 2012, the course had tight lies that forced fat shots close to the greens.

Last year's winner, Jason Dufner, became the 12th player since 1990 to make the Zurich his first PGA Tour win. First timers have a good chance here.

TPC Louisiana ranked 39th in the top-50 toughest courses of the 2012 PGA Tour.
