NHL Pick'Em Predictions: Stolarz Saves, Klapka Hits, Hutson Points
Anthony Stolarz Over 23.5 Saves vs. Montreal - 7:00 p.m. ET
Stolarz registered 26 saves per game last season, decently above Wednesday's line. The Habs, meanwhile, did manage the third-fewest shots in the league last year, but that was still 25.6 per game, which would still put Stolarz above the 23.5 saves mark. Montreal has some new firepower this year in the form of rookie Ivan Demidov, as well as Zachary Bolduc, both of whom are expected to play despite wrist and lower-body injuries, respectively.
Adam Klapka Over 2.5 Hits at Edmonton - 10:00 p.m. ET
In limited action last year, Klapka wasn't afraid to throw his body around, registering 108 hits in 31 regular-season games with the club. While the 25-year-old is currently penciled in for a top-six role, he's undoubtedly eager to prove himself as a full-time NHL option. As such, he shouldn't shy away from getting into the dirty areas of the ice and dishing out plenty of hits.
Lane Hutson Over 0.5 Points at Toronto - 7:00 p.m. ET
In 82 regular-season games last year, Hutson racked up 66 points, including 26 with the man advantage. His power-play role could increase this season, and the blueliner has some new offensive pieces to play with this year. As such, Hutson is poised for another strong campaign, assuming he can avoid the sophomore slump. Don't be surprised to see this play as a Goblin later in the season, so take advantage of it now.
