Fight with Schnell back on
October 25, 2020
Nam (2-2) is set to square off against Matt Schnell (4-3) on Dec. 19 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nolan King of MMA Junkie reports.
Nam and Schnell were originally set to fight back on Sept. 12 in Las Vegas but the fight was scratched after Schnell had to be hospitalized due to weight-loss issues less than 24 hours before the two were supposed to weigh-in. Nam is coming off two consecutive victories by TKO and will look to make it a third against Schnell, who last fought in December of 2019.

Second straight knockout victory
September 19, 2020
Nam defeated Jerome Rivera via TKO (punches) at 0:34 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
It's a second straight impressive knockout victory for Nam on the heels of back-to-back decision losses to Sergio Pettis and Kai Kara-France to begin his UFC run. A professional for nearly 15 years, Nam easily picked apart an overmatched Rivera on the feet. The finish came when Nam unloaded a quick low kick before crushing Rivera with a perfectly placed right hand. Nam's ceiling is pretty low considering he will be turning 37 years of age early next month, but he has certainly been impressive in his past two bouts.
Faces quick turnaround
September 13, 2020
Nam is expected to take on Jerome Rivera in a flyweight bout at UFC Vegas 11 on Sept. 19, MMAFighting.com reports.
Nam was initially scheduled to fight Matt Schnell on Sept. 12, but the fight was scrapped due to weight-management issues on Schnell's end. Nam will fight just one week later against Rivera, who will be making his UFC debut after securing a spot with the promotion via Dana White's Contender Series. Nam most recently defeated Zarrukh Adashev via KO (punches) in June to secure his first win under the UFC banner. Rivera carries a three-fight win streak and defeated Luis Rodriguez via unanimous decision in early August to earn his spot with the promotion. Rivera has advantages in both height and reach.
Fight scrapped
September 11, 2020
Nam's scheduled bout versus Matt Schnell has been removed from the card due to weight-management issues on Schnell's end, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Nam was set to retake the Octagon following his first-round KO of Zarrukh Adashev at UFC Fight Night in mid-September but will need to wait a little longer to do that. It's unclear at this juncture when his next bout will surface.
Fight in the works for Sept. 12
July 2, 2020
Nam is likely to take on Matt Schnell on September 12 in Las Vegas, MMAFighting.com Reports.
Nam picked up his first UFC win last month with a devastating knockout of Zarrukh Adashev. Schnell on the other hand had his four-fight win streak snapped in December.
Huge KO for first UFC victory
June 13, 2020
Nam defeated Zarrukh Adashev via KO (punches) at 0:32 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Now that's how you go about earning your first UFC victory (and a $50,000 post-fight bonus). Fresh off back-to-back unanimous decision losses to Sergio Pettis and Kai Kara-France to begin his time with the company, Nam starched the debuting Adashev with a perfectly placed right hand and followed it up with one more vicious shot that knocked his opponent out cold. It was a dominant performance from Nam and one that almost certainly saved his UFC job. Nam will turn 37 years of age in October, so there is an extreme chance this will end up being the high-water mark of his time with the company, but he deserved the $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus he earned for his effort Saturday.
