Menifield-Sy for June
Sy is scheduled to compete against Alonzo Menifield in a light heavyweight fight at the UFC's June 14 event, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS

London calling in March
Sy is scheduled to compete against Alonzo Menifield in a light heavyweight fight at UFC London on March 22, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
It was a tale of two different 2024s between Sy and Menifield. The former began his UFC career in May by submitting Tuco Tokkos. Sy's last fight was against Da Woon Jung, who the former outlasted in three rounds. Meanwhile, Menifield suffered two knockout losses. Sy has all the momentum in his favor, and he will look to keep it that way in London.

Remains undefeated as pro
Sy defeated Da Woon Jung via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
Sy has now fought twice in the span of about four months. The UFC took it easy on him in terms of competition level faced and Sy has responded with a pair of excellent performances. He did absolutely anything he wanted against Jung, closing with a 97-36 edge in total strikes landed in addition to picking up a pair of takedowns. Sy will be 29 years of age in November and has just 10 professional fights under his belt but his physical gifts are evident. He's a guy to keep an eye on moving forward in a thin light heavyweight division.

Fighting Jung in September
Sy will take on Da Woon Jung at a UFC event in Paris on September 28, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Sy will put his undefeated record to the test in his hometown of Paris against the older Jung. Sy will try to use the home crowd, as well as a sizeable reach advantage, to take down Jung and get his second UFC victory, following a first-round submission win over Tuco Tokkos in May.

Easy submission win in UFC debut
Sy defeated Tuco Tokkos via submission (face crank) at 3:43 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Sy has some real helium behind him, as evidenced by the fact he was a -575 favorite -- largest on the entire card -- in his UFC debut. He proved to be worth it. Sy has the type of long, lanky frame that would make you think he's a distance striker, but he's clearly first and foremost a grappler, as Tokkos quickly found out. Sy landed a pair of easy takedowns before working for the submission that ended the fight. We'll have to see how he looks against a bit better opponent his next time out, but the early returns on Sy are overwhelmingly positive.
