I apologize, this may be preaching to the choir for some, but last week, I discussed the changing market in a specific economy as the National Fantasy Baseball Championship (NFBC) auctions are dedicating more budget to pitching than ever before. The objective of the piece wasn't intended to be a primer for that format, but instead to use it as an example of how auction players need to be proactive and ready to adjust on the fly if the market is pricing players differently than expected. The message was, what many consider to be "overpaying" is in fact the proper shift of funds to sync up with the new market's willingness to spend.
