Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees 7:05 PM ET

Eduardo Rodriguez vs. Domingo German

The Red Sox and Yankees renew their long-standing rivalry Thursday evening as the only game on the schedule. The Red Sox have won six straight against the Yankees this season so this series is huge for the Bronx Bombers.

Rodriguez has pitched well in both starts against the Yankees this year going 11.1 innings with 15 strikeouts to just 1 walk. He has allowed a total of 5 earned runs in those 2 starts, so the Yankees were able to get to him.  The last start against the Yankees on June 27th was his best start all season.

German has gone 9.2 innings in his 2 starts against the Red Sox in 2021 with only 6 strikeouts. The last 3 home starts for German have seen a combined total of 11, 12, and 18 runs. The last 10 home games for the Yankees have been 6-3-1 to the over, including 4-1 in the last 5. The over is 6-3-1 in Eduardo Rodriguezs' last 10 road starts; 5-1-1 in the last 7.

The Red Sox average 4.8 runs per game on the road; while the Yankees average 4.2 runs per game at home. The Red Sox are 5-7 in their last 12 road games. The Yankees are just 8-13 in their last 21 games at home.

Even though the Red Sox have won 6 straight against the Yankees, I don't have a strong feel for who wins the game tonight. I am leaning towards Rodriguez going over his outs prop, as the strikeout prop is a little too close to call. I also like the Red Sox over their team total of 4.5 runs. They roughed up German last time out and they average close to 5 runs a game on the road.

BET – Rodriguez over 15.5 outs (-120) for 1 RW buck

BET – Red Sox score 4.5 or more runs (+130) for 1 RW buck
