Detroit Tigers vs Cleveland Guardians Best Bets and Predictions
The series opener went to the Guardians, and it could be the nail in the Tigers' coffin. I was watching both the Red Sox/Blue Jays game and this one at the same time and the Tigers' meltdown (specifically Tarik Skubal) was one for the ages.
The Guardians were home 'dogs Tuesday, but come back as home favorites Wednesday night, and I think the pitching matchup is significantly in favor of them with Tanner Bibee against Jack Flaherty.
Flaherty has pitched two solid outings against the Guardians this season, but those were at home. Flaherty has lost the most money out of all pitchers ($-1,389), and his road numbers are worse with a 5.20 ERA. Detroit is 4-13 in his last 17 road starts.
I will continue to ride the Guardians, and really go against the Tigers again Wednesday night.

I have been fading the Dodgers on the road for a while, and nothing changes here with LHP Blake Snell against RHP Ryne Nelson. Snell has been pitching well, but the Diamondbacks crush left-handed pitching, and Nelson is a solid starting pitcher. The D-Backs, technically alive in the National League Wild Card race, took Tuesday night's game 5-4 after getting to the Dodgers' awful bullpen.
The Dodgers are just 13-22 on the road since July 4, and 32-37 away from home this season. This is a team that is not worth continuing to pay a tax based on name reputation.
