DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

We have seven games featured on the DraftKings main slate. The Bucks are the only team on a back-to-back, and head into Toronto after a hard-fought game against the Wizards on Monday night. Otherwise the injury news to monitor is fairly minimal, but you'll want to check throughout the day as it's possible some extra value could open up.

Slate Overview

IND (-11) vs CHA O/U 209

MIL (-1) at TOR O/U 231

With a high total and close spread you may want to stack or at least roster a few pieces from this game, as it should be highly competitive from the start. I mentioned before the Bucks are on a back-to-back, and narrowly got out of Washington with an overtime win. It's possible a player or two could get some rest, but I'd expect everyone involved to be amped up for this one as it's a potential playoff preview between two of the best teams in the East.

OKC (-6) at CHI O/U 217.5

DEN (-12) vs DET O/U 216

BOS (-5) at POR O/U 225

LAL (-8) vs NOP O/U 238.5

If you're into narratives, this one has plenty as the Pelicans take on the Lakers in the game with highest total on the board. Los Angeles has won both games against New Orleans this season and will look to take a third, but this time around they'll be tasked with slowing down a red-hot Zion Williamson, who has scored over 40 fantasy points in his last four games. Add in the story line of three former Lakers facing former Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis, and this one has all the makings of a classic Hollywood blockbuster.

SAC (-6) at GSW O/U 224.5

Injury Situations to Monitor

Victor Oladipo (back) sat out against Toronto on Sunday. It appears he could make a return here, but look for Aaron Holiday to see some extra minutes and usage if Oladipo's unable to suit up.

Marquese Chriss (calf) sat Sunday versus the Pelicans. There is a chance he'll be ready for this one against the Kings, and would be in a favourable spot as they give up 37 fantasy points per game to centers and are in bottom of the league (48.7 percent) in rebounding efficiency.

Like Chriss, Draymond Green (pelvis) missed the game Sunday but also has a chance to get back for this one against the Kings. Eric Paschall drew the start in his place but wasn't able to capitalize on the opportunity.

Brook Lopez (back) did not play Monday in the first half of a back-to-back but could return here. The Bucks will need all hands on deck if they want to take down a tough Raptors team on the road. If he can't go, Robin Lopez would presumably get another start in his place.

Bruce Brown (knee) came away with the injury during Sunday's loss to Portland. Check on his status closer to tipoff. He's been logging heavy minutes due to the Pistons trading away and buying out multiple players over the last few weeks.

Elite Players

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,600) comes in as the highest-priced player on the slate, but for good reason. With his massive usage rate (37.5 percent) he'll be heavily relied on to carry the Bucks to a win over a stingy Toronto defense. He went nuclear against the Raptors earlier this season with a 77-fantasy point masterpiece. The mid-range options today aren't very attractive, so rostering the current league MVP feels like a great place to start when building your lineups.

Anthony Davis ($10,300) is a nice alternative if you can't find the salary for the Greek Freak, but ideally finding a way to get both on your roster makes a lot of sense. Davis has averaged 67 fantasy points in two games against the Pelicans this season, and seems to have a little extra motivation when facing his former squad. The Pelicans also play at the third-fastest pace (106.1) in the league, which should give the Kentucky product plenty of opportunities to impose his will.

Expected Chalk and Other Targets

Steven Adams ($6,700) gets a nice matchup here versus a Chicago squad that gives up the second-most fantasy points (42.2) per game to centers. They are also bottom of the league (48.2 percent) in rebounding efficiency and have had a revolving door in the middle. Adams struggled all of January but has since seen his minutes increase while scoring 35 or more fantasy points in each of his last four games.

Jaylen Brown ($6,600) has benefited with Kemba Walker on the shelf, and with the point guard in jeopardy of missing a third straight game, Brown should soak up some extra minutes and usage again. He's poured in almost 40 fantasy points in each of the last two and faces a Blazers team giving up 53 fantasy points per game to shooting guards on the season.

Key Values

Paul Millsap ($5,100) has worked his way back from injury and returned to the starting lineup. His minutes have been trending up, as he's played over 25 in the last two games. The Pistons have been terrible against opposing power forwards all season, allowing 45 fantasy points to the position per game. If he can reach the 30-minute mark, Millsap should crush his modest price tag with ease.

Avery Bradley ($3,300) continues to see solid minutes but can be very streaky at times. He's coming off a bad game against a tough defensive team in the Celtics, but prior to that he'd been hot from behind the arc, shooting close to 60 percent over the prior four games. He gets a nice pace-up spot here against the Pelicans and shouldn't have to do too much to return value if this game stays close.
