DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

The NBA kicks off the weekend with seven games on the schedule Saturday, highlighted by a matchup between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors. There are a lot of great options for your DraftKings entry as a result, so let's highlight some of the best ones across the price scale to hopefully help you craft a winning entry.

Guards

Kyrie Irving, BOS at GS ($8,400): Irving continues to be the rock for the Celtics offense and has scored at least 42.3 DraftKings points in four straight games. The Celtics are not a great scoring team overall, so they are going to need Irving to shine Saturday if they are going to keep up with the Warriors high-scoring attack. Considering Irving's 31.4% usage rate is seventh-highest in the league, he could very well be up to the task, making an excellent option for your entry.

Dennis Smith Jr., DAL at DEN ($6,300): Smith is finally starting to play more, logging at least 30 minutes in eight straight games. He finished with at least 31.3 DraftKings points in seven of those contests. His 28.5% usage rate ranks inside the top 25 in the league, so the added minutes give him a significant boost in value. The Nuggets allow the fourth-most DraftKings points per game (48.2) to opposing point guards, making Smith a viable option again Saturday.

Terry Rozier, BOS at GS ($4,600): The Celtics will be without Marcus Smart (hand) for two weeks, dealing a blow to their guard depth. Rozier figures to be one of the beneficiaries of his absence, especially Saturday considering the small lineups the Warriors like to deploy. The Warriors also play at the second-fastest pace (102.5 possessions per game) in the league, leaving Rozier with a great opportunity to provide value.

Forwards

Draymond Green, GS vs. BOS ($7,700): Green may not be one of the main scoring weapons on the Warriors, but that doesn't mean he can't provide significant value in DFS. He can fill up the stat sheet in multiple categories, resulting in at least 30.5 DraftKings points in 10 of his last 11 games. He won't crush your budget and has a relatively high floor, making him someone to consider again Saturday.

Josh Richardson, MIA vs. CHA ($6,200): Richardson is playing a ton, logging at least 35 minutes in 11 of his last 13 games. That's key as he doesn't really excel in any one category, but can contribute valuable numbers across the board when given the opportunity. Richardson has played well in three previous meeting against the Hornets this year, averaging 18.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. The Hornets allow the second-most DraftKings points per game (44.1) to opposing small forwards, so look for Richardson to continue his success against them in their fourth matchup.

Marcus Morris, BOS at GS ($4,800): Morris' numbers don't jump off the page, but he's scored at least 21.3 DraftKings points in six straight games. He has a 22.9% usage rate this season, which is actually second-highest on the team behind Irving. That's good news in a game where the Celtics are going to need plenty of offense, making Morris someone to consider at this cheap price.

Centers

Nikola Jokic, DEN vs. DAL ($8,900): Jokic enters Saturday having scored at least 42.3 DraftKings points in five of his last six games and is going to have a high floor most nights. However, he could also have a high ceiling in this game against the Mavericks, who don't have quality size up front. In his last meeting against the Mavericks, Jokic torched them for 67 DraftKings. It might be wise to take advantage of their rematch Saturday and get Jokic into your lineup.

Domantas Sabonis, IND vs. ORL ($6,200): Sabonis has done a great job filling in for Myles Turner (elbow), scoring at least 36 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. There is a chance that Turner could return to action Saturday, but he might only play limited minutes if he does return. The Magic allow the eighth-most DraftKings points per game (52.3) to opposing centers, making Sabonis a viable mid-tier priced option. If Turner does get ruled out, Sabonis has excellent upside.

Kelly Olynyk, MIA vs. CHA ($4,800): Olynyk has had success against the Hornets this season, averaging 12.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals in three games. He played a key role in their comeback win against the Hornets last Saturday, finishing with 35.5 DraftKings points. If you are looking to save some money at center, there is opportunity here with Olynyk.
