FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There are two big playoffs games on the NBA schedule Tuesday as the Clippers have a chance to finish off the Rockets while the Bulls and Cavaliers both try to take a 3-2 series lead. Although the Clippers-Rockets series has featured some lopsided games, the Bulls-Cavaliers series has had a couple of nail bitters right down to the final shot.

Can it get any more exciting? Yes it can with a possible FanDuel payout on the line as well. Let's take a look at some of the better bargains for both of these important games.

Tuesday Value Plays

Point Guard

Jason Terry, $3,300, HOU: I've been playing Terry over the last two games, and he's produced well considering his price point. In those games, he posted 18.7 and 20.0 FanDuel points respectively. Terry has scored at least 10 points in each of the four games in this series and has played at least 30 minutes in two of those games. Although it's unlikely that he is going to put up a monster performance, he should be a solid contributor considering how little you have to pay for him.

Shooting Guard

J.J. Redick, $5,000, LAC: If you aren't going to pick James Harden ($9,900) and/or Jimmy Butler ($8,300), Redick is the next shooting guard option that stands out to me. His best game of the series was in Game 3 when he produced 35.7 FanDuel points, but he also produced at least 20.2 FanDuel points in two of the other three games in the series. Offense is the name of the game for Redick as he has scored at least 17 points in three of the four games in the series. Even though he likely won't contribute much in the way of rebounds or assists again in Game 5, he can score enough to be a solid play considering his price.

Small Forward

Trevor Ariza, $6,300, HOU: The Rockets are facing elimination Tuesday, but Ariza has held his own in the series as he has been able to produce at least 33.0 FanDuel points in three of the four games. Not only is he a solid rebounder, but he has recorded eight steals in the series so far. The Rockets are leaning on Ariza heavily to produce as he has played at least 35 minutes in every game of the series. Expect him to see a heavy workload again Tuesday and produce yet again.

Power Forward

Taj Gibson, $4,100, CHI: It looks like Pau Gasol (hamstring) is going to be out again Tuesday, leaving Gibson with another chance to start. He played 34 minutes starting in place of Gasol in Game 4 and scored six points to go along with eight rebounds, two assists, and one block. Gibson was in foul trouble in the first half, so he could put up better numbers Tuesday if he can keep that from happening again. The Bulls really need him on the glass to try and slow down Tristan Thompson, leaving him with an increased opportunity to produce.

Center

Joakim Noah, $5,700, CHI: Noah has looked terrible offensively and can barely make a layup right now, but he's also not looking to score much. Noah knows he has to provide a big presence on the boards with Gasol likely out again. He grabbed 15 rebounds in Game 4 with Gasol out and came away with 32.0 FanDuel points. If Noah can convert some put-backs, he could have a big performance. Expect him to play major minutes Tuesday as the Bulls try to rebound from a tough loss in Game 4.
