Handicapping the NBA: Thursday Picks

Will Stephen Curry continue to struggle from behind the arc against the Mavericks?
Handicapping the NBA: Thursday Picks

Stephen Curry under 3.5 threes at Mavericks (-108) -- FanDuel, 2:43 PM CT

Dallas allows the fewest made threes (10.7) in the NBA to opponents, and Curry hasn't had success against them in three previous meetings this season. He's averaging just 2.0 made threes on 20.7% against Dallas. Hoping Curry makes three or fewer triples is a tough bet to make, but history suggests it won't be easy for him to eclipse that number.

De'Andre Hunter under 14.5 points (+100) vs. Bulls -- DraftKings, 1:01 PM CT

If Trae Young (ankle) were unable to play this probably becomes too risky of a bet, but given Hunter's dismal performance over the month of February (11.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists on 36.2 percent from the field) it's hard to really see how he'll get out of his slump. The fact you're getting plus money on this type of bet almost has me concerned DraftKings knows something I don't, but if Young were to eventually get ruled out, I'd pivot to taking any Danilo Gallinari overs that might be available.

And here's some NBA Playoff wagering advice from RW NBA Editor Nick Whalen:
