Celtics Dominate Magic, 92-79
The Boston Celtics defeated the Orlando Magic, 92-79, at Amway Center on Wednesday night.

The Celtics (3-5) checked into Wednesday's contest badly in need of a victory after having dropped three straight games and often looking inept defensively while doing so. Things didn't start off too well in that regard, as a hot-shooting Magic (2-7) squad quickly compiled 28 points in the first quarter to take a two-point edge. Neither team could get going much offensively in the second, as only 36 combined points were scored. However, Boston came out of intermission a completely different squad, putting together a thoroughly dominating period by outscoring Orlando, 31-10. That was more than enough cushion for a comfortable victory, one in which the hosts were limited to 32.1 percent shooting.

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 28 points, adding five rebounds, three assists and one steal. Jayson Tatum shot just 4-for-16 on his way to 14 points, complementing the scoring with six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal. Al Horford generated a 12-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included seven assists, three blocks and one steal. Robert Williams matched Horford's scoring total and added six rebounds, one steal and one block.

Wendell Carter and Cole Anthony managed matching 13-point, four-assist, two-steal tallies, with Carter also pulling down 13 rebounds. R.J. Hampton supplied 12 points and three boards, while Jalen Suggs registered 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

The Celtics remain on the road and pay a visit to the Miami Heat on Thursday night, while the Magic remain home and host the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night.
