Suarez finished third in the Verizon 200 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course Sunday afternoon.
The pole winner would lead twice for just 6 laps, and that would be the limit of the time Suarez would spend in the lead. The driver of the No. 99 Chevrolet had a great car and would spend the entire event battling among the Top 5. Suarez would hold of Tyler Reddick
over the closing laps to secure an impressive third-place finish. It was just his third Top-5 finish of the season.
