Blaney crashed and finished 36th in the Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway Sunday evening.
ANALYSISBlaney would be running Top 15 on lap 145, but disaster would come on the lap 146 restart from the
Tyler Reddick caution. The No. 6 of
Brad Keselowski would not get up to speed fast enough and drivers would dodge to avoid that slow car in the middle of the track. Blaney would be in the wrong place at the wrong time and get punted in the chaos. He would slide into the inside wall just past pit road exit and do extensive damage to his Ford Mustang. The DNF was just his first of the season, but extended the team's Top-10 drought to two races.
